587 days. That's how long the Canadian healthcare system took to call me back about the spinal surgery I needed immediately or risk losing the use of my legs. In 2024, I broke my back in Singapore. The neurosurgeon there said surgery was urgent. After 3 weeks fighting my insurance from a hospital bed, I flew home with medical support. The Canadian hospital quoted an 8-month wait. I'm lucky I could afford to go private. The next day, I had the operation. Today, 587 DAYS LATER, the public hospital called to say they're ready for me. People say Canadian healthcare is free and great. It's neither. It's horrible!

BREAKING The Liberals just voted to SHUT OFF THE CAMERAS at the health committee’s emergency meeting on PrescribeIT. Conservatives moved to call in the Auditor General to investigate how $300+ MILLION was wasted on a failed program. The Liberals’ answer was to hide the discussion from Canadians and silence the opposition. What are they hiding?

He served with honor. Earned his discharge. Then the Army said ‘not so fast.’ 💔🇺🇸 Then one sentence changed everything: “By order of the President, you’re being deployed again.” 😳 This isn’t just a war story, it’s about loyalty, betrayal, and a system that doesn’t let you go. 😤🎖️ Some soldiers never truly come back. Respect to all who served. 🪖🫡 🎬: Stop-Loss

At a chocolate tasting event, and every single booth is boasting about ethically sourced chocolate. I kind of want to see one guy dressed like a Captain Planet villain with a sign saying "Not ethically sourced. Not vegan. Contains gluten. Fuck it, we put beef and pork in it too"

Dear Leader @MarkJCarney has decided to assume complete and rightful control over all 26 committees of the Supreme People’s Parliament. There will be no more childish and divisive “partisan games” that harm the unity of our motherland, declared respected Government House Leader @stevenmackinnon. This revolutionary measure will firmly put an end to all so-called “ethics investigations,” illegal subpoenas, & any futile attempts to harass or question loyal comrades and witnesses who serve the Party and the people with unwavering devotion. Long live the Liberal Party of Canada!
Holly Doan@hollyanndoan

Cabinet will take majority control of all 26 Commons committees and no longer “play silly partisan games,” says Gov’t House Leader @stevenmackinnon. Move quashes all #ethics investigations, subpoenas and questioning of reluctant witnesses. blacklocks.ca/feds-to-quash-… #cdnpoli

@oplatsen Betydligt billigare än vad jag betalade för en här i Kanada. Är förövrigt på jakt efter en vapenrem om någon har en liggande i en låda någonstans.

Official 2025 data is in, the first year of the Carney government: The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer. The first two sentences of the The Daily: “The income gap increased in 2025 … The wealth gap grew throughout 2025 ...” #cdnpoli www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quoti…

@CJSaunders1973 @Feral999 Actually if the firearm was previously restricted and now covered under the bans you can't get an ATT. There is simply no way for the CFO to issue them in the system.

The RCMP is now warning firearm owners that bringing their banned firearms already declared for compensation under the “buyback” program into a station to surrender them could itself be considered a criminal offence. What a ridiculous clown show this ASFCP has turned into. @CanadasNFA rcmp.ca/en/bc/chilliwa…

It's easy to look at Marilyn Gladu's long history of unabashedly conservative positions and be surprised at her decision today, but the kind of person who would abandon their principles overnight for a whiff of power clearly belongs with the Liberals.

An important case before the Supreme Court of Canada will decide if the government can prohibit billions of dollars in legally owned private property through cabinet order rather than legislation. The case raises important constitutional questions about both property rights and the scope of executive authority. theepochtimes.com/world/supreme-…

Absolutely true. Enough is enough.
FirearmsInCanada@FirearmsInCDA

@MarkJCarney @Polysesouvient and @Safety_Canada The reason that participation in the ASFCP has been abysmal is that Canada's 2,500,000 licensed firearm owners want to send a clear message: we expect and demand to be treated properly and fairly by government, not as false adversaries for votes. We don't commit crimes with our firearms. We don't deserve our firearms to be banned, forced to sit useless in our safes for 6+ years, and then offered stupidly low compensation in an unfair program. The days of treating us like shit end now. We purchased our firearms (and paid taxes on them) in good faith, and fully expect to retain our legal property. It's not about non-compliance or whatever crap the anti-gun crew will label us with. It's about standing up to a government who is abusing legal firearm owners for political gain in the false name of public safety. A wise friend once told me: "You will be treated the way you allow yourself to be treated". You now have a clear message about what Canada's legal firearm owner community will tolerate. It's your move.

That's all folks. With a staggeringly large jump in the last few days, the government landed just shy of half of their goal for declarations. 67,640 declarations out of their artificial 136k total. 49.4% Based on more realistic estimates of the 1M-2M NPF's out there, that's only 3.4%-6.8% of the total likely number of NPF's (newly Prohibited Firearms). We also know that a mere 1.51% of the ~2.5M PAL holders in the country participated in the program. A failure by any measure. According to Public Safety Canada, there were 37,869 PAL holders who made declarations. This is also a staggeringly large jump. Not outside of the realm of reason mind you, but atypical based on the first 9 weeks. In the first 9 weeks, ~26k owners made ~51k declarations. This week, ~11.5k owners made ~16.5k declarations. The 'Declarations per owner" went down pretty dramatically from 1.96 in the first 9 weeks to 1.43 in the last week of declarations. Not impossible or anything, but a pretty drastic change. This would have to mean that the large majority of people who participated in the last week declared but a single firearm. My 'guess' for the beginning of the ASFCP put the program completing roughly 55k declarations, so even though I was a bit high at week 5, I was a low by week 10. I underestimated the power of procrastination. But whatever. It's done now. Kudos to those who held out. And even if you didn't, remember, you can STILL withdraw your declaration if you care to stand strong with the rest of us.

With the declaration period now closed, thank you to all law-abiding firearms owners who declared their prohibited firearms for compensation. With over 67,000 firearms declared in the individual phase, we are working to keep communities safe.   Read more: bit.ly/417BIJC
