Some interesting old Raasay newspaper clippings I've collected over the years. A Raasay gamekeeper (William MacLeod) falls to his death and disappears. His body is later located by a man who had foreseen the event in a dream. The Caledonian Mercury - 08 Apr 1839

It's Brochel! Or at least... what it might have looked like. Brochel Castle was built in the late 15th/early 16th century, built on an incredible perch of volanic rock. I took some creative liberties in the drawing but it's not far off how we think it might have looked

Superb anchorage overnight at Hallaig off the east coast of Raasay on Fri night - stunning sunrise, followed by an explore ashore in the sunshine on this quieter side of the island, with its rich flora and woodland dripping with lichen and mosses.
