Die Einheitspartei fährt zwar ständig nach Kurdistan, Syrien, wo immer sie Menschenrechte in Gefahr wähnt. Aber in Nordzypern darf niemand nachschauen - es könnte ja die eigene Verlogenheit entlarven!

🚨 Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan: There is no reason for a direct confrontation between Turkey and Israel. There are still many good people in Israel with common sense and strategic thinking. Not everyone there is like Netanyahu and his team. Nevertheless, as the election date approaches, Netanyahu and some of the people around him need an enemy. After the war against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, they now need a new enemy to gain sympathy, and they are trying to do this through Turkey.

The intensity of Turkish revanchist rhetoric towards Greece, Cyprus and Israel is something Western diplomats have chosen to give a blind eye to. Unreflective of any genuine military it may be, but it is genuinely spooking those countries.

As well as drones to Ukraine, Turkey has sold electronic warfare and radar systems to Poland, started building naval logistics ships for Portugal, and is due to deliver advanced jet trainers to Spain in the next few years. Hosting this week’s Nato summit, Turkey has cemented its role as a bridge between East and West ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…

🚨TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA & ALL TURKEY REGIME SUPPORTERS IN THE EU🚨 You’ve been complaining that NATO members “let America down” and didn’t help against Iran but the only @NATO country that gave the US real operational support and opened its bases was GREECE, specifically the critical one in Crete. Where was Turkey, NATO’s second-largest military “power” and “staunch ally” of the US? They sat it out and even worse, prohibited US aircraft to use Incirlik base and in most cases, their airspace. Yet just days ago your administration notified Congress of a $700mln deal for jet engines to power Turkey’s KAAN fighter jet and you’re even floating F35 access for the Erdogan.l regime. What exactly are you getting into Mr President? Rewarding the “ally” that wouldn’t show up when it counted, while the one reliable partner that actually stood with America gets overlooked? Greece proved its value Mr President and now you want to give Turkey weapons they will use against your true ally? Mr President @realDonaldTrump and other EU heads, supporters of the Turkish regime, it’s time to wake up and stop handing advanced American and European military technology to those who hedge or side against us when the stakes are real. Turkey will use these advanced weapons against all of us, it’s a matter of time before they do.

Erdoğan’s Turkey welcomes the NATO summit tomorrow while arresting opposition leaders, silencing journalists, banning protests, and censoring independent media. When a government fears its own people, it tells you everything you need to know about that regime. theguardian.com/world/2026/jul…
