Started together 7 times total. Shared the pitch a total of 8 times. Drew 1-1 with Spartak Moscow Beat Southampton 3-0 Drew 3-3 with Sevilla (after being 3-0 up) Beat Spartak 7-0 Drew 0-0 with West Brom Drew 3-3 with Arsenal (after being 2-0 up) Beat Leicester 2-1. Played once together with one coming off the bench. A 2-2 draw with Sevilla. Played a total of 508 minutes together across 8 games. 3 wins, 5 draws. Comps make people remember it as being incredible. In truth it was fleeting and the team had zero balance to it and struggled to win games.

@oshillex If your game takes up more space, it leaves less disk space for other games. That create an extra layer of friction before you play a different game

@AF_Goat @Ehler_Danlos Oh please. The original tweet looks at the chances Roma missed and asks ‘What If?’ The same logic applies to the remaining chances Liverpool missed. We could also talk about the extremely soft penalties that kept Roma in the tie in the first place

@roborob15lp @stoolpresidente You’re missing the fact that price rises are a slippery slope. The ‘whats an extra $3’ mindset very quickly takes you into the Red Sox prices territory. Just because Americans love being milked for their entire net worth doesn’t mean the rest of the world does

@stoolpresidente Huge Liverpool fan checking in. The fans are mad that game tickets are increasing from essentially $30 to $33 next year. Season tickets still well under $1,000 per year. Comparatively the Red Sox, also owned by Henry, are selling season tickets for $4,000-$7,000. This is silly.

@OutofGalaxyy Because more people are likely to pay extra for telephoto therefore making them more money. If telephoto was on the base device then theres far less reason to climb the cost ladder

Why did most brands decide that if a phone has 2 cameras, the combo should be a Wide + Ultra wide???? Why isn’t it a Wide + Telephoto anymore? The Wide camera is already wide enough 😐

@Rey19953 @b_bbirddd Ultimately its rent /energy / food costs that hit the poor disproportionately relative to their income. Everyone needs to eat. A can of baked beans has gone from £0.75 to £1.40 in the last 5 years. (Up 86%) How many people can say their take home pay has increased by 86%?

@Rey19953 @b_bbirddd Yes, smartphones are expensive, but a cheaper device doesn’t fix that. The cheaper phones don’t get software support for as long, effectively forcing an upgrade. You’re going to spend the £1000 either way, either in one hit, or in several smaller ones 2/

CALLER: I opened a High Yield Savings Account. My $20,000 emergency fund earns 4.5% interest. That’s $900 a year doing nothing. DAVE RAMSEY: Get rid of it. Put that $20,000 toward your mortgage! CALLER: But I’m earning $900 a year for free. DAVE RAMSEY: Debt is the enemy! Pay off the house! CALLER: My mortgage rate is 3%. I’m earning 4.5%. DAVE RAMSEY: That’s not how you get rich! In reality, if your savings rate beats your debt rate, keep the cash. That’s called arbitrage. Every dollar matters.

@firasmodad Its worse than that. They can determine metrics to calculate how desperate you are for a given thing and then hike the price accordingly. Not a simple case where the rich pay more because they have more. They’ll work out how much anyone can be rinsed for

You don't know what dynamic pricing is. First of all it's third worldist. You go into a store and the merchant decides the price based on your appearance. Rich Vs poor, local Vs outsider, etc... Second it means you'll be subsidising everyone else. When benefits claimants shop during working hours, they get one price. When workers go home and stop at the shops on the way, they get another. Third it's predatory. You charge people as much of their disposable income as you think they can afford. More and more wealth is transferred to the chain owners. Fourth it's designed to keep you as a wage slave. You think your financial situation has gotten better and you can afford some nice things? The supermarket chain which has all your data knows that too. So they'll double your grocery costs. And yes, they will collude. Competition won't address that as much as you think given modern tech and the small number of big players. This is dystopian. Make it illegal.

I spoke to someone retired from HMRC.. they explained that there's a certain number of sick days you can take before HR get involved, and that everyone treated it as a kind of second holiday allowance. Just to give you a flavour of the culture.
