President @Isaac_Herzog welcomed a delegation of 70 evangelical Christian leaders from 14 countries across Latin America, organized by @IsraelMFA, to the President’s Residence in Jerusalem. During his state visit to Romania, President @Isaac_Herzog met with President of the Senate Mircea Abrudean and President of the Chamber of Deputies Sorin Grindeanu. President Herzog expressed his deep appreciation for their steadfast support, sincere friendship, and shared commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship between Israel and Romania.

Thank you President @NicusorDanRO for the warm welcome in Bucharest. During our meeting, we discussed how to further strengthen the deep bilateral ties and cooperation between Romania and Israel in a range of fields. We also spoke about the importance of the ongoing fight against antisemitism and Holocaust denial around the world, and the important steps Romania has taken to address this shameful phenomenon. 🇮🇱🇷🇴

I have just landed in Romania to begin a state visit at the invitation of President @NicusorDanRO. The special ties between our two nations are rooted in centuries of Jewish history in Romania. Today in Iași, we will remember a dark chapter in this story by commemorating one of the worst massacres of the Holocaust and honoring the victims of the pogrom and death trains with a belated, dignified Jewish burial. In Bucharest, I will hold meetings with President Nicușor Dan and Romania's political leadership, and address the joint plenary of the Romanian Parliament, where I will pay tribute to the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Israel and Romania. I also look forward to meeting with members of Romania's vibrant Jewish community, which serves as a living bridge between our two nations.🇮🇱🇷🇴

President @Isaac_Herzog met with EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean @dubravkasuica during her visit to Israel today. President Herzog affirmed the importance of Israel-EU cooperation in a range of fields, including the fight against terror. President Herzog also underscored the value of working with Commissioner Šuica and her team for the benefit of the Mediterranean Basin and the entire Middle East.

President Herzog emphasized the great potential to further deepen bilateral ties and reaffirmed Israel and Lithuania’s joint pursuit of peace in the Middle East and Europe.

During our excellent meeting today, we discussed the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in a range of fields, including technology, innovation, academia, agriculture, water management, and tourism.
