After a couple of days offline, I returned to X to see timelines flooded, including by cabinet ministers, condemning false accusations and calling for strict accountability. Before I logged off, I had already filed a police complaint requesting an investigation for @ShumbaGong for falsely accusing me of creating explicit photos of Minister Ihusaan. What happened next? After I reported the case, he went on to repeat the same false allegation, this time more clearly and explicitly. So what exactly is going on here? Has Minister Ihusaan or Police given Shumba assurance that he has a free pass to accuse anyone he wants and that he won’t be held accountable? That the law applies only to some people ? And to those ministers and activists who spent the past few days preaching about accountability, where is that energy now? Or is the justice and rule of law you speak about only meant for certain people? If justice is selective, reserved for some and denied to others, then any claim by Gov on upholding the rule of law becomes impossible to sell to the public.
