@GreenTextRepost@Epicartworks >Where’s the report?

It’s really that easy…
@aciergorge@DerekPederson3 The period of time in which civilizations emit radio waves may be short, and they may be rare. Some may never go through a radio phase at all. It's not just distance, it's vast amounts of time that could be separating us.
@DerekPederson3 A much simpler explanation is that we can't yet detect the signals of advanced interstellar civilizations, just as cavemen couldn't pick up radio waves.
Science fiction nerds are gonna hate me for saying this but the Great Filter is that interstellar travel is probably more or less impossible and there is no reason to come up with any other explanation for that.
@ItchyJack_@financedystop That's utterly untrue. Where have you been?
In Europe, restaurants charge you significantly more for less food, and the service blows.
They don't wait on you. They make the same money whether you eat there or not.
In Europe, they act like the customer is an inconvenience.
@LinkedInLunat1c never been in business class and probably never will, the extra cost for a few hours of slightly extra leg room and nicer food/service will buy you a few days of luxury food and accommodation at your destination
@financedystop Restaurants typically operate on less than 5% margin.
For them to pay the servers even $1 more per hour, they will have to raise their prices.
They are choosing to itemize that as a service charge.
It sounds like you would rather pay $26 for a burger.
Double Dragon (1987) – who was a fan?
You play as brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee, punching, kicking, and brawling through city slums, factories, and hideouts to rescue Billy's girlfriend Marian from the Black Warriors gang. 80s games didn't have the deepest and most complex of stories but let's be honest, who cared?
To this day, one of the best beat 'em ups in co-op mode. The big character sprites, badass soundtrack, and the ability to pick up dropped weapons like baseball bats, whips, and knives made it an excellent game.
@oubagaku How is a guy who is inexperienced supposed to get good at tennis. He just keeps hitting the ball out of bounds. Seems wrong to waste other people's time by practicing with them
how is a guy who is inexperienced supposed to practice hitting on/flirting with girls? seems like no matter what, given his inexperience, he will inevitably overstep/say something weird, creepy, rude, etc. And it seems wrong to use real human beings as practice objects to learn
