@whizkidd He won't understand anything. They haven't seen such things

Don’t know about Rang De Basanti, but let me tell you what some of us millennials actually grew up watching.
I was in primary school during the 1993 Mumbai bombings -- too young to even understand what terrorism meant. But I distinctly remember my mom repeatedly warning me not to pick up anything lying around while playing outside because, you know, it could be a bomb.
That was childhood.
Then came the seemingly endless procession of attacks: the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Red Fort in 2000, Parliament in 2001, the Mumbai bus bombings and Akshardham in 2002, three separate blasts within eight months in Mumbai in 2003, the 2005 Delhi blasts, the 2007 Hyderabad bombings, and the 2008 Bangalore and Ahmedabad blasts.
In July 2006, I was supposed to be on one of the trains that was bombed near Mahim. I stayed back at the office because of a meeting. A completely mundane change of plans is probably the reason I’m alive to type this instead of being a name on a list of the dead.
I remember that evening far better than I remember any stupid movie. Our office went into lockdown. Phones were jammed. People were crying and frantically trying to reach their families. Nobody knew what was happening, whether there were more bombs, or whether someone they loved was lying dead inside a mangled train compartment.
Two years later came 26/11.
I had the misfortune of watching uncensored footage of the aftermath. One clip showed bodies being piled and stacked inside a makeshift room at CST while someone wheeled in another load on a bloodied wheelbarrow, with blood dripping onto the floor. The sanitised footage shown on television didn't come remotely close to what actually happened inside that station.
So yes, us millennials lived through an era where we went to work knowing that the crime of simply boarding the wrong train, getting on the wrong bus, eating at the wrong restaurant, or standing on the wrong street at the wrong fucking moment could get you blown to pieces or riddled with bullets.
Some of us literally went to work wondering, somewhere at the back of our minds, whether this would be the commute we wouldn't come home from.
So please, spare us millennials this sanctimonious horseshit about Rang De Basanti and what some Bollywood movie supposedly should have taught us about how to vote.

“You Fucking Millenials, you grew up watching movies like Rang de Basanti & The legend of Bhagat singh and still elected this government!” - Gen Z

Six months ago, I got death threats because I didn't like a film. The viciousness scared me. Thank you Gen Z for your courage & irreverence. You have given us all hope & strength to hold on to our voices and speak our truth. More power to all of you!

English

Many societies in #Surat are underwater.
#Families have lost furniture, appliances, electronics almost everything inside their homes.
They paid taxes when they bought every one of those items.
Now the question is: Will the Government provide meaningful support to help them rebuild?
Or will they have to pay taxes all over again just to replace what the floods destroyed?
Is this not a #tax terrorism ??

United States and Iran both want to return to an interim ceasefire agreement, and negotiators are discussing a compromise that would see Iran oversee vessel transit through the Strait of Hormuz with fewer restrictions on shipping, the Associated Press reported on Sunday, citing a regional official involved in mediation efforts.

We worked on finding some niche players in the textile space, and two companies caught our eye
Company A: Revenue fell 11% last year, while its margins expanded 290bps
Company B: After years of struggling, the company's margins broke out of their historical range in Q4, and management is talking about growth acceleration in FY27 beyond what they've delivered over the last 2 years
We will cover both businesses in depth with our subscribers this Sunday

#WATCH | Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party National (Ramvilas) President Chirag Paswan stopped his convoy after noticing an injured young woman on the roadside while travelling from Amritsar to Jalandhar on Sunday. The incident occurred near Dera Sachkhand Ballan, around 10–15 km before Jalandhar. He immediately instructed his team to shift the injured woman to a hospital in his vehicle and ensured that she received prompt medical attention before continuing his journey.

@excel_nukeri @TheNassrZone So you mean to say MESSI was not cute and Ronaldo was. Ronaldo earned Respect and fans.
English

@TheNassrZone Tell people the truth..you fell in love with Ronaldo because of his hairstyles and cuteness back in the days. Not because of his playing style and mentality.

English

Everyone has a favourite player, and I respect that.
Football is subjective, everyone has their own preference.
It wasn’t the trophies that made me love Ronaldo, it was his style of play and his mentality. From the moment I became a fan, I stood by him. For me, it’s about loyalty, once I choose, I stay loyal.
I’m just grateful that I’ve had the chance to witness his incredible career, and I’m looking forward to enjoying every moment that’s still to come.
