I’m seeing a clear trend: ➡️ Coaches are being more selective. ➡️ Outreach is slower. ➡️ Commitments aren’t happening as early or as often as they used to. Could this be the new normal in recruiting? Here’s what’s influencing this shift: 🔁 The Transfer Portal – Programs are holding spots open for experienced transfers. 📦 Player Movement – Internal transfers and late commitments are causing roster instability. 📉 Smaller recruiting classes – Coaches are prioritizing need over potential. This may be an unpopular opinion… but softball peeps — I know you’re grinding this summer, chasing goals, going to camps, etc. Just don’t forget to be a kid too. Go on that trip. Say yes to the sleepover. The grind is real — but so is being a kid. Don’t miss both.

Sitting the bench at a D1 to go to an eh D1 just to say you’re at a D1… 😐STOP IT!😐 Go somewhere you can be GREAT and make a difference! D1 is great and all, BUT there are also GREAT DII, DIII, NAIA, & JUCOs! There are some DIIs that would beat some DIs.. just sayin!
