My time with Siege might be coming to an end soon. This game has become my job, one that I loved, but now no longer like. I made a lot of new friends, experienced things I never would have before and for that I am eternally grateful. My feelings towards Siege have simply been putting up with it for the past few years, in hopes of it being better, in hopes of finding the upside. Siege X was supposed to be that upside, and we know how that went. I can't hold out hope forever. I've slowly distanced myself, have started working on other projects, and am actively searching for new pathways for myself. The past 10 years I've been apart of this community, and I wouldn't change that for the world, but we must continue to grow and move on with our lives when we feel the need to. This post is just a reflection of how I'm feeling internally. I'm not leaving yet, but I don't blame anyone who is. And if there's one thing I know, it's that there is a whole lot more to life than Rainbow 6 Siege.

@PalmerLuckey I think this is wrong question to ask. The right question is if people would buy a Made In America computer that is 20% better at the same price as China is selling. MacBook shows this approach working compared to Windows.

@Garfieldisdoc Also I did just look at the specs, your streaming PC should be your gaming PC. Encode using CPU and sell the 3080 ti for $1500.

The only reason I could see the necessity for this is if you want to save on your power bill. Otherwise, you are just min-maxxing your stream quality and gaming PC performance, provided you have it set up correctly. I do suppose the other reason is to make starting the steam easier 🤷‍♂️

@Pengu I do agree that the bountiful content does make for a more exciting product but it would be really hard to balance when keeping all the content (as opposed to rotating like how Fortnite does).

@Pengu I don't believe that 2 ops 1 new map every single 3 months would ever be sustainable for too long. I also think that it lends itself to devs pumping out too many really bad concepts for ops as well as too many new maps would make the game impossible to learn efficiently.
