May the Lord teach us to number our days (Psalm 90:12), and help us truly grasp how short life is. May we faithfully serve our Savior with whatever days He has given us.

Classroom management experts often make it sound like once you set routines, rules, and norms, the hard work is over, and the class will run itself. In reality, that’s rarely true. Teaching requires constant attention. The moment you ease up, things start to slip. You have to stay steady, stay present, and keep your foot on the gas.

The constant push for teachers to “find their why” is professionally insulting. Purpose isn’t the issue—we already have it. What’s missing: time to plan, autonomy to teach, freedom from micromanagement, and real consequences for the kid throwing darts into the ceiling.

Schools are meant to support families, not replace them. That means parents need to actually parent, and the govt & communities need to stop treating schools as the fix for bad parenting. Educators who think otherwise might be influenced a bit too much by “teacher hero” movies.
