🆕 Access Control Relocation Beginning Monday, March 30, all JAXPORT Access Control Center administrative services will move from Blount Island to a new location at 1830 E. 21st Street (former Aqua Gulf facility near the Talleyrand terminal). The move is part of our ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and efficiency near the Blount Island main gates. Badge enrollment services will be temporarily unavailable starting at noon on Friday, March 27 through the remainder of the day and will resume the following Monday (March 30) at the new location. Cargo access (including commercial truck escorting) is not changing and will continue to take place at the gates of each terminal. Congratulations to Frida on the opening of the company's second Jacksonville warehouse 🎉 The Miami-based parent company of @fridababy and Frida Mom continues to grow its Northeast Florida footprint, cutting the ribbon to mark the official opening of a new 270,000-square-foot distribution center next to its existing facility near JAXPORT. The expansion doubles its local operations and the volume of raw materials moving through the port to support rising demand across the U.S. JAXPORT has partnered closely with Frida to support its supply chain needs, from logistics planning to reliable ocean carrier access. Service Spotlight: ZNS – Empire The ZNS – Empire service by @ZimShipping and @MSCCargo moves containerized cargo directly between JAXPORT and four key ports in East Asia: Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Busan. The ZIM Mount Elbrus, with a 15,000 TEU capacity, recently called SSA Marine at Blount Island and discharged cargo as part of the service. JAXPORT’s 47-foot shipping channel, two-way river traffic, and open berthing windows give shippers flexible scheduling options, while the port’s capabilities and infrastructure ensure reliable handling of global cargo. Over the last year, $250 million in projects have expanded the terminal’s container and auto handling capabilities. Combined with new cranes and a deeper harbor, JAXPORT offers shippers a modern gateway to one of the fastest growing regions in the nation, supporting jobs and economic opportunity for our region and state. Video: TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico joins Hubbard House to raise awareness for domestic violence resources💜 The organizations recently unveiled a 40-foot shipping container featuring the National Domestic Violence Hotline, which provides free, confidential help for survivors of domestic violence and their families. The container will be featured at Hubbard House’s upcoming 17th annual Stand Up & Stride Domestic Violence Awareness Walk on March 28 before starting to be actively used for shipping. The container will travel throughout Jacksonville, the Southeast, and Puerto Rico, helping connect survivors to free, confidential help. Read more: hubbardhouse.org/press/

Efficiency in action at Blount Island 🚛 Terminal operator SSA Marine has four rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes operating in its container yard. These mobile cranes travel along container rows, quickly loading and unloading trucks to keep cargo moving. It’s an example of how operational enhancements are delivering meaningful efficiencies for our customers and improving truck turn times. #jaXportpartners

“Anchored in strength, united in purpose” 🚢 That’s the theme of this year’s ILA Women’s Maritime Conference, where women from South Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports are gathering in Jacksonville to connect, learn, and shape the future of the maritime industry. “Throughout my 30+ years at JAXPORT, I’ve seen our industry evolve — and one of the most important changes has been the growing presence and influence of women across every level of our operations,” said JAXPORT Chief Administrative Officer Linda Williams. “Your leadership strengthens our workforce and our industry.” ILA Locals 1408 and 1593 are two of the labor unions that represent dock workers who keep Jacksonville’s seaport running smoothly. The program also featured a presentation on global shipping trends by Dr. Sal @mercoglianos, host of the What’s Going on With Shipping podcast.
