@SnappFam I did one Kayfabe interview when I started at FOX and quickly realized nobody wants that shit, so I never did them again. The closest would’ve been backstage interviews at PPVs right after a wrestler won, and even then I tried to keep it in reality, because it was FOX Sports.

This is so weird to me. Wrestling is a scripted TV show. Why is ESPN doing Kayfabe coverage now? You can cover wrestling without acting like the storylines are real. Just like in sports, there are injuries, contract negotiations, discourse, etc. This way sounds dumb af.

@Talk_Yaps I think the issue with HHH is that he was a Heel Champ and it was that run that elevated him to a new level in terms of status. The biggest boom times, at least it seems to me, is with a red hot babyface. The heel champ prepares the way, the face Brings the boom period.

A lot of fans don't like wrestling now. They like entrances, finishes and a few memeable "moments" in the middle that have corresponding chants. The rest of matches is quietly waiting for the next one of those things.

I’ve noticed this weird phenomenon with North American crowds over the last few years where even during matches or shows where they react to moments and are into it, there’ll be periods where they still go dead quiet for stretches. It creates a strange atmosphere at times.
