We're delighted to have won the award for Best in Heritage, Conservation & Sustainability Awards at the CBA Better Building Awards on Friday. We were also nominated in the same category for the MTU School of Art, 46 Grand Parade. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Works have entered the final phase and are progressing towards completion of this private house in Blarney, Co. Cork by the end of the year. This 400m2 single-storey dwelling is nestled in the site overlooking the surrounding countryside creating a modern haven in the landscape.

JCA are delighted to have completed the restoration of the facade of MTU Gallery at 46 Grand Parade, Cork. This encompassed the careful conservation of the oolitithic stone ionic capitals and consolidation of the friable stucco work using discreet stitching and moulded repairs.

We’re delighted to have completed the project at Goggin Cottage, Kildimo Co. Limerick for the @IrishLandmark Trust. The project involved the conservation and restoration of an early 1800s traditional thatch cottage, with the interior fit out by Jessie Wilkinson Interiors.

#Restoration works to the #FourCourts courtyard walls and Railings Complete. This Project involved the careful repair of the railings and gates, stonework, and balustrades to the southern arcade screens of the two courtyards fronting Inns Quay.

JCA Architects have recently completed a Restoration Plan for Lonehort Battery, Bere Island, Co. Cork. The plan focuses on building envelopes, maintaining existing structures and securing surviving fabric of the Protected Structure.

Works are near completion at the former Convent of Mercy, Bantry with JCA as the Project & Conservation Architects for the successful conservation and redevelopment of the former Convent to social housing for Clúid Housing.

JCA are delighted to be back in Fota House with the latest phase of conservation works involving the careful repair of all roofs and chimneys of this seminal work designed by the great Irish architects Sir Richard Morrison and his son William Vitruvius Morrison c. 1820.
