@CryptoDustLA @kangminlee For real though, ultimately a good thing. Those kinds of people would not lift a finger to help you of you were in danger and you want to surround yourself with as few of those types as you can possibly manage.

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest My point being that neither Ezekiel nor genesis indicate the typology. The typology is established later. I'm saying the typology for Ezekiel is not illegitimate simply because it comes from the churhc fathers. I dont not accept sola scriptura so typology outside of the NT is 👍

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Exactly. The connection to Mary comes from a church father not from Scripture. 🤦‍♂️ That’s the point I’ve been making the whole time…Ezekiel 44 says nothing about Mary, virginity, or childbirth. Any typology you’re claiming comes centuries later not from the Bible. 🤦‍♂️

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Your issue vanishes once you read what the Bible actually says. Matthew 1:18 says this happened before they came together…Mary had not had relations with Joseph yet. Luke 1:34 says she ‘does not know a man.’ Being told she will conceive a child naturally prompts the question 🤦‍♂️

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Bruh missed my point, there is nothing in the OT context that suggests the author intended it to connect to baptism. The connection isn't made until the NT makes it. Exactly like the Ezekiel example, the connection is made LATER by those such as St. Jerome

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Another false comparison…..you’d actually made my point. Noah’s ark and baptism are explicitly connected in the NT…that’s scripture making the typology as i said earlier. There is no verse anywhere connecting Ezekiel 44 to Mary.

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest I didnt say it was some distant future. It is a future event, and a pregnancy in the near future for a newly Wed is not something that is difficult to imagine, so the question, given your assumption about her virginity, does not make sense whatsoever

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Your whole argument hinges on reading something into Mary’s question that the bible never says…..assuming she’s talking about some distant future. The text doesn’t say that. She’s told she will conceive and she asks how. The angel immediately explains the miracle. Not difficult.

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Thats like saying Noah's ark has nothing to do with baptism because the OT text doesnt mention it, even though that typology is drawn out in the NT. Just as the fathers of the church did with mary and Ezekiel. You dont like it because it violates your novel theology

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest That’s not how typology works. Not every detail in the OT is a hidden prophecy you can assign meaning to later to fit the narrative you want to push. Biblical typology is either identified by scripture itself or clearly connected by themes the text supports.

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Idk how this is eluding you, but there is no reason why a virgin who plans on losing her virginity so to speak, would ask how IN THE FUTURE it could be possible that she conceive a child.

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Bad analogy. Matthew 1:18 says this was before they came together and Luke 1:34 says Mary “did not know a man.”. That’s exactly why she asks how she could conceive. Nothing in the text AT ALL suggests a lifelong vow of virginity. It does make sense…the Bible itself explains it.

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Every single thing in the OT is a foreshadowing of something greater in the NT. that is the basis of typology. The human author of Ezekiel probably didn't intend it (because how could he?) But God, in his infinite wisdom, did. Typology 101

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest We know Ezekiel 44:1–2 isn’t about Mary because the text itself gives no indication of it referring to a person…let alone Mary. The “east gate” is part of a temple vision not a prophecy about a person. Saying it points to Mary is a massive stretch invented centuries later.

@DuckFromOC @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest It doesn't make sense at all. "You will get pregnant" how will this be possible?" If a newly Wed actually asked you this question you would be taken aback because of how absurd of a question it is... unless there is a particular reason hint hint

@JC_AveMaria @Nessus24 @HabitualLinest Exactly. They were betrothed….legally bound, yes, but not yet living together or consummated. Matthew explicitly says this happened before they came together. Mary asking ‘How will this happen?’ makes perfect sense in that context. Nothing in the passage implies a lifelong vow.

@TrackAIPAC Ok I'm confused. Why does @TrackAIPAC care about Jewish influence in the government when they want the exact same goals as the Jewish donors want? "I support white replacement as long as its not jews doing it!" You guys are frauds
