@franklinlorax it's crazy how many of use drive everywhere we go and we don't realize that we are releasing GHG's such as PM, VOCs, NOx, etc. We should start to bike and walk more to reduce emissions, plus its nice to get some air sometimes. #apesair

Trees are a limited resource that allows us to create energy. Wood unlike oil, coal and natural gas is not considered a fossil fuel. But decomposing trees do give off carbon dioxide, and so does burning firewood @franklinlorax #apesenergy

These rocks in my backyard have high porosity and permeability due to their size. However, the water retention is low allowing water to flow right through. #apesland @franklinlorax

These 2 lovely plants are grouped together when it comes to soil! :) Both do not like standing water so permeable soil is best. We treat both plants with a bit of miracle growth as well (a 15-30-15 fertilizer) #apesland @franklinlorax

There are many different sizes and shapes of rocks. As water flows through them, we are able to identify these sizes through their porosity, permeability, and water retention. #apesland @franklinlorax

In franklin, we have low-density housing, like single family homes, taking up more land. In city areas, they have high-density housing, like apartments, which take up less land. #apesland @franklinlorax

I really like going to the beach. However this unit I learned that sand has high permeability. This means that sandy textures have large pore spaces that allow rainfall to drain quickly through the soil #apesland @franklinlorax

In class I learned that if everyone lived like me, we would need 5 earths worth of resources. I need to reduce my ecological footprint by eating more vegetarian meals and carpooling more often. #apespop @franklinlorax

This salad helps me to avoid malnutrition by helping me get all of the necessary nutrients I need from my food like fats, proteins, and carbs. @franklinlorax #apespop

This salad is an example of a vegetarian meal. After learning how many resources I use through my ecological footprint, I pledged to have a vegetarian meal at least once a month. This change reduced my footprint by 1 earth, which is a big difference. 🌎 @franklinlorax #apespop

If everyone one in Earth lived like me, it would take about 3.8 Earth's to sustain life and have all the resources we would need. That's not a good thing because we only have 1 Earth meaning I have to find new ways to reduce my ecological footprint. @franklinlorax #apespop
