so you're telling me spirit airlines was in trouble, knew they had to do something, and attempted to participate in the free market by allowing jetblue to acquire them.
the government then stepped in and said, “no, you’re not allowed to participate in the free market, " denying the acquisition.
so then spirit, knowing that they were about to fail, seeks a government bailout, only to be told, "no, you must participate in the free market” to which they were denied participation in.
this doesn’t seem like free market capitalism to me.

This is existential for MAHA.
“If farmers contract a form of cancer … from this chemical, if this makes it into the Farm Bill, you won’t be able to sue.”
Instead of pushing to repeal Big Pharma’s vaccine liability shield, Trump and his cronies are trying to expand immunity for even more poison.
It’s a complete betrayal of MAHA.
And it would cause vastly more harm than all of the benefits that MAHA has done combined.

I remember when I didn’t follow politics or the news.
The crash of 2008. I owned a business and a house.
I noticed sales slowing, I worked harder. If sales didn’t go up as much as I wanted, I worked even harder. I spent 300 days a year on the road hustling.
I sold my company in 2011 - grew into the $10s of millions in that time, during the crash.
I found out about the market crash in 2013. Never cared to look, too busy working and being a husband and dad.
Moral of the story is we cannot control the economy, politics, or what other people do. What we can control is our output.
Take from that what you will, or insult me for whatever reason…just an anecdote.

Someone inside Kaiser sent me the below internal guidance concerning shots and medications for newborns.
It tells Kaiser employees that the "approach to how we introduce and administer routine newborn ... Hepatitis B vaccine" is to " avoid saying ‘it’s optional’ or ‘you can refuse’ unless directly asked” and to tell parents that "we will be giving" instead of asking consent to give. This is the antithesis of informed consent. Yet Kaiser calls it “excellent patient and family care.”

An employee collapsed at Amazon's Troutdale, Oregon facility on April 6.
For over an hour, workers say they were told to keep working while the man's body was still there.
One worker with CPR training begged her supervisor to let her help the woman giving chest compressions.
"Just turn around and not look. Let's get back to work."
Amazon's response the same night: a text telling workers to report as usual the next day.
Workers found out about the death through social media.
Not from Amazon.
"We are just numbers."
A $2 trillion company couldn't pause a conveyor belt long enough to let a man die with dignity.

AMAZON HIT WITH $2.5 BILLION SETTLEMENT OVER PRIME Amazon will pay $2.5B to settle a 2-year FTC lawsuit accusing it of tricking millions into unwanted Prime subscriptions and then making it nearly impossible to cancel. The deal includes a $1B civil penalty, the largest ever issued by the FTC, plus $1.5B in restitution for about 35M customers who were misled. Some will get as much as $51 each. The FTC said Amazon designed its “Iliad” cancellation system to frustrate users into staying subscribed. Then we had to have a city inspector verify the work
The Government literally does more auditing on a citizen installing a sink than they do to verify that learing centers getting Millions actually have kids there

I built CourtWatch.us — a free public database for American citizens who deserve safer communities. You can track which judges released defendants who then got rearrested, skipped court, or violated their release conditions. All public records. All free. I started with Orange County FL and will be expanding to all 67 Florida counties and eventually every state in the country. This first batch of info is from 2024 and since public reports are released in March/April for the previous year, data is behind. But I wanted to see if this is plausible. How do you hedge an uncertain future?
Figure out where the wind is blowing, head in that general direction, and maximize the likelihood you’ll get lucky while figuring out how to stay in the game long enough until you do
Be in shape & look healthy, both are excellent life & career hedges
Be in a good mood & extraverted (even if forced) for the same reasons
Surround yourself with smart & successful people & go places that are amenable to serendipity
The future is never certain but these hedges will always provide value. If you don’t have a mentor passing you these cheat codes, find one
