Rather than chairing yet another COBRA meeting tomorrow, the Prime Minister should cut energy bills, get Britain drilling, and axe the tax rises. Here’s my letter to Keir Starmer👇

I will not be silenced. Labour are only demonstrating that they cannot see right from wrong. They will not stand up for our way of life. But we will.

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. The adhan - which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger - is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination. Perform these rituals in mosques if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. And given their explicit repudiation of Christianity they certainly do not belong in our churches and cathedrals. I am not suggesting everybody at Trafalgar Square last night is an Islamist. But the domination of public places is straight from the Islamist playbook. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.

I have sacked Robert Jenrick from the Shadow Cabinet, removed the whip and suspended his party membership with immediate effect. I was presented with clear, irrefutable evidence that he was plotting in secret to defect in a way designed to be as damaging as possible to his Shadow Cabinet colleagues and the wider Conservative Party. The British public are tired of political psychodrama and so am I. They saw too much of it in the last government, they’re seeing too much of it in THIS government. I will not repeat those mistakes.

Lord Wolfson is acting pro bono in the Supreme Court in the Dillon case, defending British veterans against your useless Government. Is this why you’re trying to smear him? Meanwhile your Attorney General, Lord Hermer, previously sued the British Government and the Ministry of Defence and gave away the Chagos Islands, only for us to rent them back, weakening our national security in the process. So perhaps stop throwing stones at the man standing up for our veterans, and start answering questions about the one sitting at the Cabinet table. If we’re talking about judgement, priorities and loyalty, this one’s not even close.
