I think today might be the pinnacle of Rory's wedge game evolution. *He* used to joke about what a blah wedge player he was. But he's slowly, gradually, painfully gotten so much better. The shots he hit into 12, 13, 15 and 18 were sublime. I barely know this golfer.

Hey Bryson! "Golf Physicist" here: You’re hooking it because your "home made clubs" are biasing face-to-path left before you even swing. When lie angle is too upright, it effectively tilts the clubface plane left of your intended target line (for a right-handed player). An upright lie shifts the delivered face angle left, and it also alters how the sole interacts with the turf. The heel strikes first, slowing it down relative to the toe. That differential can increase face closure rate through impact, further driving face-to-path negative. So even if your path is neutral, the face is already left. If your path is slightly in-to-out, now you’ve created a classic hook condition: face left of target, but still closed relative to path. Hope this helps you fucking dork
