@stacycay @jacrispy42069 @brndxix My bet would be they run on regulating AI and then float bills that either do very little or actually just pump money into the industry. I'm thinking the "green tech bill" and it operates on tax incentives rather than any real legislation

@sphigel1 @electionsjoe Unemployment was trending up at a high rate back in September, and that was the last official jobs report released. Every other indicator of the labor market is in the gutter- layoffs, confidence surveys, consumer spending.

@electionsjoe Most of this "AI push" stuff is cover for investors to cover up the bad economy--a lot of companies are struggling right now. Most analyses show that there's not really that much AI impact on the labor force.

@electionsjoe I think with the amount of errors in AI, they're not really seeing the productivity they say. I'm hearing a lot of these jobs are rehired from India or just completely cut altogether. AI work is poor quality. I think the economy is just bad enough that they need a scapegoat
