At 38 yrs old, was 6th in the NHL in assists, more than prime Sundin.
On garbage NYR teams.
I get the game evolves, but let’s not get crazy here.
Gretzky was special and could play today.

@ShawnHutcheon @DennisTFP Or maybe absolutely having to win the central to not face Dallas/Minnesota in the first round wore the Avs out? Vegas coasted their way in. They’re clearly outplaying the Avs but maybe it’s because they have more left in the tank.
