@DrRebeccaTidy He’s innocent until proven guilty in law - you daft brush, in any job if you are salaried -you are suspended on full pay pending court results…do you think the police are the only salaried job?😂

@SamuraiApology @MalcolmDeDodd I couldn’t for the life of me tell you why, but I wholeheartedly believe PM Ed Miliband would get the country back on the right track and keep reform out in 2029. I can only assume this is some kind of mental defence mechanism.

Great post here on how English houses are supposed to be aired out with windows open, all year round. That’s hard to do when heating is expensive! open.substack.com/pub/paradiseci…

wtf is happening in the UK man

🛒 Walgreens is piloting body-worn cameras for some of its workers in New York City. The pharmacy chain has dozens of stores in the five boroughs, and it’s unclear which locations will have employees testing out the cameras. Outside a Walgreens in Downtown Brooklyn on Wednesday, New Yorkers had mixed reactions, though many were supportive of the move. “I could see the rationale,” one man said. “As a customer, it doesn’t really bother me if it enhances security.” Another man was worried about bias, saying, “I don’t like to be monitored. I don’t like to be able to walk in the store and they going to watch me every time I go in, thinking I’m going to steal.” “Because we live in a crazy world, I have no problem,” a woman said. Walgreens said it’s not using the cameras to prevent theft but rather to deescalate conflict and keep employees safe. “Walgreens is piloting the voluntary use of body-worn cameras in select stores to help promote the safety of both customers and team members,” said a spokesperson. “Body cameras can help de-escalate conflicts, ultimately contributing to a safer environment for everyone. We understand the importance of protecting customer privacy and have safeguards in place to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations,” the spokesperson said. The pilot comes as the City Council considers bills that would severely limit biometric technology that is already in use at large retailers like Macy’s and Wegmans. 🎤 @mdiamond8 reports 📸 Marla Diamond, Richard Pohle - WPA Pool/Getty Images, Spencer Platt/Getty Images 🔊 Tune into 1010 WINS at 92.3 FM for more local news #nyc #newyorkcity #nycnews #brooklyn #downtownbrooklyn #walgreens #bodycam #security #nyccrime

"I’ve been quite swept up by the autism spectrum idea, and it’s only in the past 10 years or so that I have felt things have gone too far, and very slowly I have come to say, 'No, this is not right'" Autism expert professor Uta Frith talks to @Helen_Amass tes.com/magazine/teach…

“Stolen property” Lmao. Why didn’t want your “stolen” dev kit accessories back huh? @SEGA

So he doesn’t consider Tourette’s a disability? I know some communities prefer to stand apart but hadn’t heard this before. Those who reject the word disabled I tend to be leery of.
