@kurtsaltrichter 18/19x in a downside scenario where earnings are contracting is implausible. It’s not even downside. LT historical avg is ~15x. That’s a good place to start. 12-15x is more realistic

Four technical signals today look almost identical to early March 2025, right before last spring’s $SPX selloff. The risk of a 20–25% correction is as high as it’s been in nearly a year. Counterpoint: fair value using $305 EPS at 21.5x is ~6,558. Bear case: $280 EPS at 18–19x = 5,040–5,320. That downside requires several dominoes to fall at once.

I saw this account all over my For You page last week. John even blindly promoted him as a good trader and that people should follow him Everything I saw was sloppy, erratic, and a pure gamble. Everyone can have a nice run, that doesn’t matter. This game is forever; the only thing that matters is protecting and growing your capital. I hope he doesn’t go on full tilt, keeps some of that money, and just gets a good refresh before trying to come back.

So it looks like Iran’s strategy will be to lob a few drones and missiles towards ships in the Strait of Hormuz, gas fields/energy installations in the region, and airports in UAE and Qatar in order to undermine global energy/transport systems? Short of invasion, how do you stop such a low-cost/high impact strategy?

Iran cannot "close" the Straight of Hormuz. It's not a canal. It doesn't have a gate. What Iran can do is make it so dangerous that insurers won't cover ships or make it so expensive that they won't risk it. But nothing stopping a ship from making a run. It ain't closed.

@GeromanAT So far its just been IRGC, the Iranian Army has barely entered the picture... I expect elite game theory here, with regards to who comes to whos aid. I'm not sure allied sovereigns are eager to back Trump (militarily) . But we shall see
