@SnazzyLabs LOL. Drive that same Tesla in a real city like San Francisco or Seattle and watch it fail miserably. I disabled it on both of our Teslas in Seattle. It’s straight dangerous. Tesla FSD drives ok in rural and suburban environments like SLC, Arizona, or Texas. Not in real cities.

Hot take: I’m in a Waymo in San Francisco for the first time in a year and Tesla FSD 14 the more comfortable driver. Waymo is way twitchier with turning/acceleration.

@lowcountryev @OutofSpecDetail Agreed 100%. Additionally the Tesla media player capabilities are not up to par with car play or android auto. Usb playlists are also pretty bad.

What does this have to do with CarPlay?? If Tesla was integrated into CarPlay, Tesla as the app developer would still do this in CarPlay. Adding CarPlay as an app option within the Tesla ecosystem only gives Tesla owners more options, not a worse experience than what they have today.

Some companies rely on the crux of Apple CarPlay to provide utter trash software that is barely possible but only because of the existence of CarPlay. Tesla on the other hand takes every damn detail into account on creating the best software in a car as shown here. Well done @Tesla

This comes right on the heels of my wife taking her first solo road trip in her EV9. She was 4 miles away from a charger with 16% SoC left. Then the car instantly dropped to 0% and shut off. She needed to wait with my 1-year-old in rural Utah for a $350 tow. Aggravating.

Finished installing several @enhauto upgrades to my @Tesla 2026 MYP and they all work great! The S3XY Dash adds a highly customizable display to the driver's side. You can display important stats as well as add buttons (such as open the glovebox), has CarPlay support, and more. Throughly impressed. Next I installed the S3XY Knob, also a highly customizable controller. The biggest benefit is not having to fumble through the various settings on the main screen. And finally, the S3XY Strip adds a customizable LED strip. Best features are blind spot warnings, turn signal indicator (see pic) and well, just looks cool.

@SnazzyLabs Why do you need to create a straw man argument. Let's see what Ford does in two and a half years. Their EV record to this point indicates they'll be late and over budget. They have everything to prove. They're not sustainable yet, especially from a business standpoint.

@zachgilbert @WhamBaamX …Everyone ask yourself this; do you blame your fellow employees that suck at their job on your employers? This may reflect poorly on Tesla but it’s 100% the individuals responsibility to be a good tech, people need to take responsibility.

I bought the car with an extra set of 20" Warp wheels with Nokian winter tires. The car came fitted with the winter tires, since it's winter... But Tesla put the summer set inside the car WITHOUT any plastic bags on them... Yeah you can just imagine the mess. 😭

Apple CarPlay is be less expensive (free). To top that off, good luck having your tesla auto connect to your phone's hot spot every time you get in the car.

I do not understand the love for Apple CarPlay. It seems like an excuse for many manufacturers not to focus on great, integrated software and just use CarPlay as a bandaid. It’s funny companies with the best software like @Tesla & @Rivian want nothing to do with CarPlay. We need better software across the board, especially in EVs, not this lackluster unintegrated CarPlay.
