🚨 The Earth's climate is further out of balance than at any time in recorded history, the UN's weather agency has warned. The World Meteorological Organization says that our planet is gaining much more heat energy than it can release, driven by emissions of warming gases such as carbon dioxide. This record "energy imbalance" heated the ocean to new heights last year and continued to melt our planet's ice caps. Nobody tells new runners that the first 6 months are going to suck. Everything hurts, nothing feels good, and you’re convinced you’re not built for it. Then somewhere around month 7 or 8 something clicks and you can’t imagine your life without it. Most people quit at month 4.

@rndmruminations @UltraRunner26 finished the 100 miles. Not in the way he wanted but I would not call 22 hours on the legs a loss. It’s a learning experience for him and impressive for everyone that followed the build up to the 100 mi and the event itself.

Danny is a great guy. Positive, driven, beyond hard-working, supportive of all runners. From Picard’s line to Data in TNG: “It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness - that is life.” Give him a follow and watch him kick ass next time!

For the amount of money the Pentagon is requesting for this insane war we could eliminate hunger in America for a decade. The problem in our country is not a lack of money, it’s a lack of moral clarity.
