My brother and I couldn't figure it out 20 years ago. I assumed yellow meant light rotation and red was severe rotation. Any idea @dougkammerer @VJohnson7News @ChuckBell4 ?

In 2006ish I vaguely remember a TV channel dedicated to a 24/7 doppler radar loop in the DC Area. I don't remember if it was WRC or WJLA. There were two circle icons that would appear in severe weather: yellow and red. Channel is long gone but curious what those symbols were.
