Parle-G Masterstroke 🤯 ₹5 packet from last 10+ years… still making crores. How? Not by increasing price..
By slowly decreasing quantity : 1994 → 100gm
2008 → 92gm
2021 → 55gm
2026 → 45gm Same packet, Same taste, Less biscuits. Lets do Small Maths : Monthly Sales -> 100 Crore Packets Daily Sale -> 3.5 Cr. Packets Profit per packet -> ₹0.50 Daily Profit -> ₹1.75 Cr. Monthly Profit -> ₹52.5 Cr. Parle-G understood one thing : “Big business is not about profit per item… it’s about reaching crores of people daily.”

I genuinely appreciate you replying to an ordinary citizen’s query, especially at a time when ministries usually don’t bother, and people like us are left facing apathy. But what you’ve said is exactly what I already mentioned in my original post: yes, I was offered a refund for the cancelled flight. What wasn’t offered was compensation. Stranded passengers were simply told to “mail for this.” One staff member even said we might get a ₹3,000 voucher, but only redeemable with SpiceJet. Just giving you one example, and speaking for all stranded passengers: my parents came from another city in a cab that cost ₹2,000. Because the flight was cancelled, they had to go back in another cab…₹2,000 again. Tomorrow, they’ll come back once more…another ₹2,000. That’s ₹6,000 gone, just on taxis. Add to that the hotel booking at the destination lost for the day. And other stranded passengers who couldn’t go back to their cities had to take hotels near the airport. So tell me, would a ₹3,000 voucher really compensate them? Read the comments, people have stopped booking @flyspicejet because they don’t trust it anymore. And now the airline is cancelling flights because of low bookings. It’s a vicious circle, passengers lose faith, bookings drop, flights get cancelled, and trust erodes even further. This is not about me or my family alone. It’s a wider policy issue. Air travel in India touches nearly 35 crore people, and the sector is only growing. Every year, more passengers will be added. Please look into this at a policy level. 🙏🏼
MoCA_GoI@MoCA_GoI

Dear Sarvapriya, As per the concerned airline (SpiceJet), the full refund has been processed to your travel partner and eligible compensation has been offered. In regards to cancelling the ticket (IndiGo), as per the concerned airline the passenger is not eligible for cancellation without charges, as the domestic flight departure is within 7 days. Regards, Ministry of Civil Aviation

Read till the end:  SpiceJet cancelled my Delhi to Srinagar flight (PNR: H8FKMY) today. It was at 11:15 am, and they informed me only at 9:20 am. I was taking my 60+ old parents to Kashmir for their anniversary. They travelled all the way from Rohtak, reached the airport on time, only to be told there’s no flight today. Their entire plan for the next 5 days is ruined. When I tried to rebook for today, fares were already higher. And the moment I clicked “pay,” the price jumped another 40%.  So, I booked for tomorrow, but it cost way more than the SpiceJet tickets I paid for. SpiceJet says they’ll refund the cancelled flight but what about the extra money I had to pay? What about hotels refusing refunds for the lost day? What about the taxi costs and the stress my old parents had to go through? Just for my own curiosity, I tried cancelling the Indigo flight I booked for tomorrow. Guess what? They wanted more than ₹5,000 per ticket as cancellation fee, just 10 minutes after booking. All this in the name of “base fare” and “fuel surcharge.” Base fare they’ll recover anyway by selling the seat at a higher price to someone else. And fuel surcharge? Is fuel price fluctuating every single minute? Airlines and apps happily charge “convenience fees,” but when they ruin your plans, there’s no inconvenience fee for passengers. No cancellation fees for passengers. Just a cold “write mail to us.” You may get a voucher from their airline. The staff at the counter have no power, yet they’re the ones who face all the anger. The real decision-makers sit on annual packages worth crores, but don’t lift a finger when it comes to fixing anything real. FYI: At European airports, airlines are required to give a full refund and pay up to £600 to passengers when they cancel a flight. Even if it’s an Indian airline operating there, the same rule applies. These airlines pay compensation there, even for a flight delay. But what about Indian Janta?  We’re not flying for free, we pay taxes on every single ticket we buy. GST, User development fees, airport charges and even for our security.  Anyway, DGCA rules say 24 hours’ notice is required before cancelling. Why was this ignored? Staff claimed “technical fault” in the plane, but I doubt it. I want SpiceJet to share how many seats were actually booked for this flight. Was the flight only 30-40% full and cancelled for that reason? I didn’t see many passengers stranded there. These airlines keep sinking and government keeps negotiating. Aviation minister, where are you? Ministers fight for cabinet seats, they take one, enjoy the power and go, but ordinary people keep suffering because of government’s policies. At least one minister has to set an example. I want answers. And I want real compensation, not just vouchers or empty apologies. @RamMNK @DGCAIndia @flyspicejet

Olenna Tyrell never feared Joffrey as much as she feared what Cersei would become with him alive. A sadistic king can be managed but a mother obsessed with protecting that king becomes dangerous to everyone. So the Purple Wedding was not about removing Joffrey at all. She engineered a situation where Cersei would expose the ugliness of House Lannister to the entire realm. The second Joffrey dies, Cersei does exactly what Olenna predicts: she chooses hatred over strategy. She publicly destroys Tyrion, turns the family against itself, and proves the Lannisters are ruled by paranoia That’s why the Tyrells win the aftermath so easily. Olenna understood something Cersei never did: the smartest way to destroy a powerful family is not through war but by making the mother tear it apart herself.

Time to abolish the post, or make them independent by ensuring that their appt & removal is not controlled by the Central Govt

Simple answer: NO! I remember clearly because I was there. On 12th Dec, 2023, the Rajya Sabha had allocated 6 hours for discussing the Bill. However, the Govt cut short the discussion to 3.5 hours & bulldozed the Bill on the same day. This is how the CROOK Gyanesh Kumar was appointed as CEC by Modi & Tadipar. The existing law on appointment of the ECI needs to go. Otherwise, every election will continue to be rigged by the ECI itself which is a brazen murder of democracy & people’s will.

NEW: 🇺🇸🇨🇳🇹🇼 The US has wasted so much ammunition on Iran that now they can only watch silently as China takes over Taiwan - Wall Street Journal The U.S. has burned through so many munitions in Iran that some administration officials increasingly assess that America couldn’t fully execute contingency plans to defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion if it occurred in the near term, U.S. officials said - Wall Street Journal. In addition, over 1,000 Tomahawk missiles, as well as 1,500-2,000 air-defense missiles, such as Thaad, Patriot, and Standard Missile interceptors, have been used during the War in Iran. According to U.S. officials, it would take about 6 years to fully replenish the stockpile.
