This person is a former Marine and current reporter for the Democrat/Media Complex. He is trying to allege that some sort of negligence took place because a tactical operations center (a "TOC") in Kuwait was--in his opinion--insufficiently hardened against indirect fire. As a Marine, he knows that TOCs are transient sites, often consisting of nothing more than a tent. He knows that TOCs are sometimes no more hardened than a HMMWV or an M113 with a radio. He knows that Arifjan in Kuwait is a sprawling compound with innumerable facilities--including multiple TOCs--structured the way we always structure facilities in friendly countries that are deep to the rear of close combat. He knows all that. The Iranians got off a lucky shot on a facility that was consistent with every other facility the US military has maintained in Kuwait since the end of the first Gulf War. (I know this because I spent a year of my life serving in Kuwait between Iraq wars.) Rather than acting like a Marine and simply acknowledging that war is Hell, he decided to act like a lying goon for the Democrat/Media Complex and attempt to throw shade on the one casualty-inducing event that took place amidst an otherwise flawless military operation. Don't ever say "Semper Fi" to anyone, Jim LaPorta. You lost that right with your media perfidy.
