@mattvanswol Unlike you, they actually care about the Constitution and rule of law. The right bused in thousands, paid for hotels, and had all day to riot and trash the Capitol on Jan 6. Leftists have jobs. They make time to protest.

Can someone help me understand how these Leftists have INFINITE AMOUNTS OF TIME on their hands to protest?! I barely have time to go to the grocery store after work. How do they have ALL DAY to go out and protest for illegal immigrant criminals?!!!!

@Leah742 @mattvanswol These places wouldn't exist if they did not break into our country. Why are you not asking what happened in their countries? Why are you not asking if their countries were so bad, how the made it all the way here without stopping in another country on the way?

@cpscott16 Maybe all the ex-magats have to amplify that they are hoodwinked. Point out that project 2025 was real. Biden, Harris and even fucking Clinton were telling the truth. I don’t trust magats to do the right thing. Cannot believe 1/6 did t end this fucking shit

Going forward, I’m not shaming anyone who supported Trump but now understands, and I’m not interested in saying “I told you so.” That might feel satisfying, but it doesn’t fix anything. The only way out of this mess is to work with the people who are starting to wake up, because we’re going to need them to help wake others. What we’re watching right now is almost Matrix-like. Millions of people are still defending Donald Trump, and eventually the argument won’t even be about facts. It will become, “I don’t care what he did, as long as he delivers what I want.” For some, that means the full realization of Project 2025. At that point, the character of the person in charge doesn’t matter to them at all, no matter how corrupt or morally repulsive he is. That’s exactly why shaming people who are beginning to break away is a mistake. If someone is finally questioning what they believed, forcing them into a defensive corner just locks them back into it. So when right-wing podcasters start admitting they were wrong, I’m not going to pile on. I’m going to say, “Yes you were wrong, glad to have you back, now let’s fix this together.” This is how recovery works. It's almost like addiction. You don’t humiliate someone for waking up. You help them move forward, because stopping what comes next matters more than winning an argument. Now, that being said, you come at me still pro-Trump, all bets are off.

@cantpretendtoo Home economics was pretty bad. My mom was better at cooking, sewing, and stretching a dollar. The home economics / health teacher was obese and slow. Highly unqualified for the position. Mom economics was definitely harder.

@its5somewheres @amuse Exactly. Guaranteed outcomes are an excuse to deplete the purse, simultaneously justifying the lack of sponsorship to meaningful swing elections, and to funnel money into their own accounts.

It’s about the grift. They knew he was going to lose. I bet most of the $ that didn’t actually go to the TV stations went to companies (ad buyers, “consultants”, marketing, etc) that are all connected to Cornyn and his cronies. Since this would be his last election and fundraising might as well go out with a bang.

TEXAS SENATE RACE: Ken Paxton won 252 counties out of 254 with Cornyn only winning Travis County (Austin) and tiny Kenedy County (winning just 6 out of 8 votes). Cornyn and the Senate Republicans spent more money on this campaign than any other Senate campaign in history and lost by double digits. Imagine what the GOP could have done with that money in the 12 House toss-up seats. Embarrassing hubris on display in Texas - shame on you Cornyn, shame on you Thune.

The purpose of GOPe fundraising is to take donations that could have gone directly to the intended candidates and divert them to Guaranteed outcomes, such as this one. The people wanted Paxton and the GOPe fought them. When an honest candidate needs funding against the opposition in a swing election, the GOPe will fund a different race. Do not fund the GOPe

I've been on the receiving end of content theft for years on this site. I can think of many amazing, hardworking content creators who have also spent years making original content only to watch other people rip it and get paid for their work. The fact that X is even attempting to disincentive content theft and slop posting has given me great optimism for posting on this site for the first time in a long time.

Congratulations to Attorney General Ken Paxton on tonight’s victory. He has my full support and endorsement as the Republican nominee. Ken is a fearless conservative who spent years taking on Texas’s toughest battles as Attorney General and has proven that he will always fight for and defend the Lone Star State. He will continue that fight in the U.S. Senate, and I look forward to fighting alongside him. I also want to congratulate and thank my friend Senator John Cornyn for his many years of dedicated service to Texas and our country. It has been an honor to serve alongside him for over a decade. He spent decades fighting for the Lone Star State, and his service in the Senate has left a significant mark on Texas and the nation. Heidi and I are grateful for his friendship, and we wish John and his family the very best. Now, it’s time to unite to make sure that Texas stays Texas. James Talarico is radical, dangerous, and does not represent the values, ideas, or principles of the Lone Star State. Defeating him is critical.

Dear Senator Hawley, You have betrayed us…… We thought for sure you were going to help us drain the swamp and carry out the mandates we brought forth when electing Trump. On Memorial Day 2026, while the rest of America paused to honor the fallen who died defending our freedoms, you chose to gavel in a meaningless pro forma Senate session and then gavel it right back out. A 30 second ritual that accomplished exactly nothing except one thing: deliberately blocking President Trump from making a single recess appointment. You personally stood in the way of the American people’s mandate. We voted. We won. We gave President Trump the White House, we gave Republicans the Senate, and we sent a clear message……drain the swamp, confirm the loyalists, and move at warp speed to repair what the last four years destroyed. Instead, you and the rest of the Senate club decided the dusty old rulebook matters more than the will of the voters who handed you the majority. By keeping the Senate “technically in session” through sham pro forma meetings, you stripped the President of a constitutional tool specifically designed to bypass obstruction like this. Do you understand what that means, Senator? It means qualified America First nominees, judges, ambassadors, agency heads, and military leaders remain stuck in limbo while the same entrenched bureaucrats who sabotaged Trump the first time continue holding power. It means the deep state gets more time to resist, delay, leak, obstruct, and laugh at the voters who believed change was finally coming. It means Americans are once again being told their landslide victory was meaningless because the Senate has “traditions.” You ran on fighting the swamp. You wrote books about it. You raised your fist outside the Capitol with the rest of us. Now you’re the one holding the gavel that keeps the swamp alive. We are not disappointed, Senator Hawley. We are furious. You didn’t have to take that presiding slot. You didn’t have to participate in the ritual protecting the establishment from the very change Americans demanded. But you did. Every day those positions remain unfilled is another day the agenda Americans voted for is delayed. This is not “procedure.” This is betrayal dressed up in a suit and tie. The swamp does not drain itself. It requires leaders willing to confront a broken system instead of protecting it under the banner of “tradition.” Right now, you are choosing the institution over the people who elected you. We expected better from you. We still want to believe you are not just another suit who talks tough on Fox News and then folds the moment Senate leadership whispers “tradition.” Prove us wrong. Demand these pro forma charades end immediately. Demand recess appointments be allowed so President Trump can govern at the speed this moment requires. Stand in that chamber and publicly call out the hypocrisy. Because if you don’t, the answer to the question “What did Josh Hawley do on Memorial Day 2026?” will be simple: He helped keep the swamp alive. We’re watching. We’re angry. And we will remember. Sincerely, We the Disappointed, Disgusted, and Determined Trump Voters The American Majority You Were Elected to Serve

.@TomSteyer: I'm totally in favor of trans athletes in high school. When you understand the vulnerability, the stress, and the danger of being a trans kid, and you understand that almost half of them try to commit suicide, then you think we're going to punish those kids? We're going to cut them off from team sports, from participating in the community, from fun? No, we're not.
