This shocks me, and I’m hearing it way too often. I can’t believe this kind of thinking is gaining traction, and we need to take a step back and recognize what’s really happening here.
Disinformation, while often used as a buzzword, is still a part of free speech. What one person labels as disinformation could very well be another person’s perspective. The strength of free speech lies in the ability to exchange, challenge, and debate ideas, even those we disagree with. When we start labeling certain viewpoints as disinformation and seek to suppress them, we begin to erode the very essence of what free speech was designed to protect.
The real danger is in trying to control the narrative and deciding which voices get to be heard and which should be silenced. Who ultimately decides what qualifies as disinformation? In a free society, no single group or authority should hold the power to suppress opposing views, no matter how controversial or unpopular they may be.
This kind of thinking overlooks a critical point: the First Amendment isn’t just about protecting speech we agree with. It’s about ensuring that all viewpoints, even the ones we disagree with or find uncomfortable, have a place in the public discourse. The moment we start silencing opposition under the guise of “eliminating disinformation,” we are blatantly opening the door to censorship and control.
Our love for this country and the principles it was built on—enshrined in the Constitution and its amendments—must be defended. These core values are under serious threat right now. There’s a push from certain political forces within the Democratic Party, if not all of them, to enact changes that could forever alter the balance of power and restrict our freedoms. The growing influence of organizations like the World Economic Forum, pushing for more centralized, top-down control, is a direct threat to the foundational liberties we hold dear. There are hidden agendas behind these veils of change!
We must be vigilant in resisting these attempts to undermine our Constitution, because if we allow even one amendment to be compromised, we risk losing the very freedoms that define America. We cannot afford to let this push for totalitarian control succeed. And what’s even scarier is all the hidden agendas yet to be revealed.
