Even the environmental stuff feels a bit off in some of the comparisons.
They remind me of the "photo realistic mod" for Cyberpunk that looks *technically* impressive, but feels like it really strips out the art direction and atmosphere.
This isn't DLSS 5, but same vibe...

@maximilian_ Nvidea isn’t trying to produce art, they’re trying to increase graphical fidelity. People want their games to look good, not be artsy, and it does look good even if you don’t like the style. You seem to forget that games are products when you want to virtue signal on Twitter.

Don’t buy this. They did a full demonstration and reveal the way it was because they thought it looked great. If it looked bad, they would’ve just waited to have the devs show off how good it could look. GenAI isn’t here to produce art. It’s tricking you into thinking it is.

@maximilian_ I had your same reaction but this is NVIDIA's response. I think we are seeing initial showcases that have not been optimized or fine tuned by the developers at all yet. Grace Ashcroft won't look like that with DLSS 5 once Capcom actually tune it to their artstyle for example.
