You don’t need Power Cleans to become explosive I took them out years ago and our program only improved Here's a free guide on why and how to train power without Cleans Comment “POWER” below and I'll DM it to you

In 2016, Mack Leftwich was UTEP's starting QB with NFL dreams. In 2017, he was teaching high school geometry. Today he's the OC of the #1 scoring offense in America. 🧵THREAD

This ONE play taught me a lesson I'll never forget as a football coach. It was 2021. UVA vs Virginia Tech. There was 1:21 left in the game and we were down by 5. Here’s the play we ran... And a thread on what I learned. 🧵 THREAD

Larry Weidel wrote a book about becoming a Serial Winner. I read it in 2016 and it changed my career. I just created a guide for any competitor looking to make winning a habit. Comment “WINNER” and I’ll send it! Must be following if your DMs are closed. - @ThadWells

In 1997 he took over an 0-10 high school team and turned them into winners. Then he did it at Washington & Lee. Then again at Davidson College. Now he's looking to do it at Rice. Meet Scott Abell—the serial winner. 🧵THREAD

Doubters are a dime a dozen. But, it takes a person of great faith to say, "I don't see a way, but I know God has a way." 💯

@Tony_Villani_ How, or would, your opinion differ when referring to starts from a static position?

I like this depiction. A lot of these "false steps" are showing repositioning the body or hips to create leverage to the desired direction. Always advantageous. Now what about heading into a COD and already being set up to not false step when reaccelerating?
Tim Cortazzo@T_Cortazzo

FALSE STEPS DO NOT MATTER 🚫 Here is proof in every attack/acceleration angle possible. ✅ Natural Reaction ✅ Shin Angles ✅ Elasticity ✅ Power ✅ Ability to react & accelerate in MULTIPLE directions Stop coaching athletes out of this… Repositioning Feet = FASTER

Heartwarming that for the first time in PN history, our girl sprinters did a timed speed workout. Fastest girl, Taylor McClain (JR) 19.4 mph! Tomorrow X-Factor. Saturday 28 Second Drill. #FTC

@mensingjason Because we're committed to the gun and don't practice taking under center snaps so why risk it in that instance? Just like you T teams staying in formations / personnel groupings that make very little sense to us for 3rd and long.

Coaches why do you run a slow hitting run play in shot gun on short yardage plays! I don't understand but there has to be a good reason as often as I see it!

Red girl or the Green girl! Did you know there is NO research to prove that parachutes actually work. Yet we all believe they do. 🧐 Just like there was NO research to prove sprint training can change/improve running mechanics. 🚨🪂😩😇🫠😱😇🪂🚨 We humans , although full of bias, can often use enough evidence in the field to make rational decisions about if something works or not. 🚩Yet many have tried to coach running mechanics and improve on running economy and failed in the process , so are stuck with their bias that it isn’t possible , as opposed to realising they lack a specific skill set or failed to manipulate all the appropriate constraints to allow for the transfer of the physical strengths to locomotion.😟 💡So Jurdan @zentrumsport and @jb_morin took a group of super stars to create the first piece of research to illustrate that a sprint specific program could actually make positive changes to how people moved. I was honoured to be involved, just to make suggestions on some of the training interventions for the study 💡 tinyurl.com/Can-we-modify-… 😄The results were clear and nice to see. For some, the results were a resounding “aha moment” 🎉 For the rest of us this was a “dahhh moment”.😜🙃 Pat on the back for this research peace and following similar pieces from @chrisbramah who has developed a simple method that can consistently and repeatedly identify a link between running mechanics and previous hamstring injury in football players tinyurl.com/Hamstrings-and… So the question to you guys, who is the better runner , red girl or the green girl? Does it even matter? speedworks.training

Hip shifting in a squat. Valgus out of the bottom. These show that squatting is a rotational exercise. The reason we may not always see it? The rotations that occur on either side of the body “cancel” each other out, which produce the appearance of a sagittal movement
