Предыстория про Marathon, босса в первом сезоне и кастомный подарок от жены. Я предупреждал её, что в игры Bungie гоняю 25 лет и для меня их релизы достаточно важное событие. Про саму игру знал задолго до анонса по работе и не ждал, а затем тест, релиз и я просто locked in как в старые добрые. В этом сезоне по сути главный эндгейм помимо рангового режима это босс Компилятор. И тут @KseniyaKroner придумала сперва тематический подарок по игре на др, но это быстро переросло в её вызов — побей босса до конца сезона. Это не какое-то нечеловеческое достижение, но я бы сказал, что самое трудное среди всех игр для меня. Для тех кто вне контекста игры. В рейдовой локации Cryo Archive против других игроков есть финальный босс Компилятор, но проблема не в нём, а всём, что ведёт к нему. Любой вайп там — потеря гира, а не только времени. И заходить туда бомжами это плохая затея. Архив открывается только по выходным, в этом лабиринте есть 6 комнат, которые надо открыть специальными ключами (можно в разное время) и выйти со спец предметами. Ключ на шестую комнату — большая редкость. У меня ушло 30 успешных выходов и десятки и десятки вайпов, потеря гира итд. Сам босс то в целом лёгкий, но прорываться к нему всё ещё надо через других игроков выполняя задачи на карте, а в Marathon сейчас играет мало людей, а те, что есть — звери и потнари. То есть под конец сезона это просто сплошной git gud на высоких левелах. Но сегодня получилось с ребятами, за что им большое спасибо, как и всем, с кем я шёл к этому моменту. У нас было много рейдов боли. Играть на пике сложнее, чем 15-20 лет назад. А вот жена заморочились похлеще меня. Собрала и изучила ассеты, подобрала арт, закастомайзила его, заказала печать оверсайз футболки у подрядчика, упаковала и ждала подходящего момента. И так случайно совпало, что даже была рядом, когда его наконец-то побили. Я её не заслуживаю, как и своих тиммейтов, которые чаще терпят мои ошибки. Ну и желаю всем такого партнёра, который будет поддерживать вас даже в таких увлечениях.

Marathon keeps losing players everyday Game is dead. At this rate, it will be cancelled in a few months. Nobody wants to play it. Those who try to play it quickly realize it's garbage and stop

@Coltriot @MarathonDevTeam You can use frame gen through nvidia app, and it not even that bad in terms of latency, just use “smooth gameplay” under game settings tab, and enable hardware gpu scheduling in your windows graphics settings;)

@MarathonDevTeam nah, give us frame generation. Youre a modern game in the year 2026, not having frame gen is insane.

Why are we asking for them to nerf things that are just gonna end up making the ttk longer when we spent the entire server slam asking them not to change it? Why dont we not touch the things that already kill fast but then make the things that dont kill fast better? There are more weapons that are ass than ones that are good. Util spam is 10000x more ass than getting knifed. Just a thought. 🤔

My Marathon hot take is that I was wrong about Duos and should've never asked for it. Played around 10 rounds and its just people hiding in corners, buildings or skulking around the edge of the map. That hits different in solos because in solos it feels inherent to that experience and plays out like a stealth game. But in duos that doesn't feel right and its not very engaging at least to me anyway, to be honest its mostly boring. Its easy loot though because most of the people in the mode are clearly scared to properly push engagements and would rather hide behind walls and rocks, so play a destroyer and go for maximum aggression to guarantee kills. But yeah @MarathonDevTeam and @Ziegler_Dev I don't think Duos is it. The pacing of PvP feels really off as a duo and overall I don't think it will benefit the game in general. Solos and Trios feels like a good set. Happy to be proven wrong in the long term though. I'm fully ready to be crucified int he comments though by people who don't like the idea of making friends in the game.
