Co-founded an AI data center co last year. Had an early take that hyperscalers would begin to focus on tier II, III cities and smaller increments of power (sub 100MW), question was how quickly. Went from "call back when you have 300MW" to "we will take whatever you have" within 12 months. Giddy up.

A working theory: social media has absolutely scrambled how Gen Z & millennials think about work and money. For 20+ years, the script was simple: Go to college. Grind at 9–5. Be a “team player.” Save a little. One day, maybe, you’ll afford a house and a couple of vacations. Now? People who ran that playbook are watching their savings erode by inflation while housing is priced like a luxury. The math doesn't math. Then they see a 21‑year‑old who makes 7 figures filming in a hoodie. Broadcast on repeat. When that’s your daily contrast, of course, a job feels pointless. Of course, money starts to feel fake. You did “the right things” and got boxed in. They did “the ridiculous thing” and got rich. What nobody tells you: those creators are edge cases, but the algorithm makes them look like the norm. You don’t see the millions of people who tried to be creators and made nothing. So you end up with an entire generation whose brains are cooked between two lies: Lie #1: “Entrepreneurship is easy.” Lie #2: “Just go viral, and everything is fixed.” Both are traps.

@SethAbramson Look at these wonky proposed districts for the Houston area. Obviously meant to pull disparate chunks from one area to another. Look at District 7, with Heights folks inside the loop tied to neighborhoods way out in Fort Bend county.
