Get alone with a Bible. Ask the Lord to open your eyes and incline your heart to His word (Ps. 119:18, 36). And then read. Study. Ponder. Ask questions. Consult commentaries. Do this every day for the rest of your life. You won’t be the same person.

If you can’t express something in your own words without aid, then you don’t actually understand it. It is not a truth of which you personally have knowledge. And personal knowledge is the only kind that actually matters. This is why writing has always been at the very heart of education, for although you might have a vague feeling of understanding, you don’t actually know what you think and know until you give it an incarnational manifestation through coherent language. We too often mistake a feeling of resonance with knowledge.

Sluggards are very reasonable people. They have no shortage of “reasons” for the things they leave undone: “The sluggard says, ‘There is a lion outside! I shall be killed in the streets!’” (Prov. 22:13)

This is perhaps the single most important truth we need to grasp: our own sin. Not the sins of others. Our own. The line between good and evil doesn’t run between class or ethnicity, wealth or poverty, male or female. It runs straight down the middle of every human heart.

Cultural change begins with repentance. It begins with a recognition of our own guilt. Any attempt at reformation that ignores this is doomed to fail. Repentance is the way, because repentance leads to Christ.

Scripture makes a distinction between the poor and the sluggard. The poor should rightly be the objects of mercy; sluggards should reap the hard consequences of their laziness. Our culture confuses the two. But they are not the same.

As you come to the end of a tiring work day, remember that (1) God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (1 Jn. 1:9), and (2) “In all toil there is profit” (Prov. 14:23). In the Lord your labour is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58).

The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever. (Ps. 9:17-18)

On this national day of truth and reconcilation, we recall the Beaver Wars of the seventeenth century, in which the Iroquois effectively destroyed several large tribal confederacies, including the Mohicans, Huron (Wyandot), Neutral, Erie, Susquehannock (Conestoga), and northern Algonquins, with extreme brutality. Today we remember that everyone benefits from the presence of law and order -- a distinctly colonial blessing -- as opposed to the savagery of tribal power dynamics.

No. The people with "bad intentions" are not licensed, law-abiding firearms owners, who contribute virtually nothing to gun crime statistics. The people with "bad intentions" are the criminals with ILLEGAL guns who continue to murder innocent Canadian citizens, with almost ZERO punishment. The confiscation of firearms and private property from innocent, law-abiding citizens, while simultaneously refusing to protect them from violent criminals, is unacceptable. This lunatic frames the innocent as guilty. She also suggests a moral equivalency between an innocent, licensed civilian who purchased a firearm legally, which was then arbitrarily designated 'prohibited' AFTER their lawful purchase, and ACTUAL criminals who murder people. Don't miss how insidious that is. Come to think of it, the people with "bad intentions" are clearly our present ruling class. And that's why every citizen needs firearms.

WATCH: Despite Carney calling the gun 'buyback' program "voluntary," MP and anti-gun activist @NathalieProvost finally says the quiet part out loud. Don't want to comply with our demands? YOU will be considered no different from an everyday criminal with an illegal gun. 🇨🇦

Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Islam is a tyrannical cult that swallows up all goodness, truth, and beauty is in its path. It has no place in the West. Sexual intimacy is to be enjoyed between and a man and a woman in the context of marriage. There's no such thing as a trans person. Transgender ideology is demonic and destructive. We miss anyone? We'll be here when you want us @JusticeCanadaEN, you bloody psychopaths.

Norse Pagan says he purchased a Bible following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, says he has been inspired by the "spiritual and moral peace" from Christians in the fallout of Kirk's death. "What I saw happen to Charlie was the most scarring thing that I think I've seen with my eyes, period." "If I was in the family, I would not be able to control myself." "I have been railing and raging against the enemy. Raging against the people who saw that and cheered." "The spiritual and moral peace that I have seen in the Christian community regarding this whole thing is something that I envy because I am full of rage and hate and anger." "I went today and I picked up a Bible because I was inspired by what I've seen from their side, from the Christian side of this..." Video: vetsinnervoice tt/ig

The lines have been drawn: This battle is not, ultimately, between 'left' and 'right'. That framing presumes a shared set of values; two sides to the same coin. We haven't had that since we rejected our shared moral and spiritual commitments generations ago. And make no mistake: these fundamental commitments to transcendent values are what held us together. No. The battle lines are clear: Good vs. evil. Light vs Darkness. Truth vs. Lies. God vs. Demonic forces. It's Christ or chaos. What we are witnessing today is a wake up call for many who have not witnessed the callousness and banality of evil before, and have not been exposed to the Truth. The battle lines run through every human heart, and the genius and wonder of the West is the cultural capacity for honest self-reflection. This is a product of the Christian gospel; not enlightenment values, secular humanism, or the progressive ethos which has rotted our soul. We threw off pagan, primitive tribalism by acknowledging that, to some degree, we are guilty of the evil we condemn in others. We are all in need of forgiveness. We all deserve death. And we can all, through Christ, be forgiven. The solution moving forward is nothing short of a resurrection from the dead. Christ raised up men, women, and children for thousands of years. They walked by faith, and in love. They cleared forest and field. They sowed seeds. They build cathedrals and hospitals. They built families and culture. They sang songs, prayed prayers, laughed and wept. And the fruit of that work of faith was a level of peace and prosperity the world has never known. It would be easy to despair if we can only see the darkness. But darkness is not all there is, so take heart: "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."- John 1:5

The two main biblical stories about homosexuality aren't erotic but violent. The men of Sodom want to welcome the angels with a gang rape (Gen 19), and the men of Gibeah rape and kill the Levite's concubine (Judg 19). Violence animates homosexual desire, practice, and homosexual society - violence against the other, hostility to God's order of male and female. The converse is also true: As Ezekiel 16 shows, those who violently crush the poor are children of Sodom.

There are some who want us to believe #Canada is a secular country. This is false. That isn’t to say there aren’t people who would like to believe we're a secular country. Nihilism has always been a convenient refuge for those who want to avoid the consequences of moral clarity. History demonstrates that we are inescapably religious beings. We will worship something. We will end up calling some things good and some things evil. And the nature of these categories will flow out of what we worship. Countries that try to exist in a spiritual vacuum will soon find some other entity only too happy to fill the void. The Bible once informed Canada’s constitution, law, and culture. What system is informing it now? Judging by the aborted, mutilated, and euthanized bodies piling up — one that wants us dead.

If you want to understand your government's philosophy of work, here it is in a 20 second clip. Why have 13 people carry one piece of wood each, when you can have them pass one piece of wood between them 13 times?

I have a friend who’s 71 years old. He’s very much a man. He attended a London Ontario medical centre last week for a minor medical treatment. As part of the intake process he was asked: “Are you pregnant?” He was then told that’s a standard question now for men & women under 80 years of age!! This nonsense has to stop. Why are our medical professionals buckling to woke lies? Resist! Nobody’s fooling anyone.

This speech is both an astute overview of the most important issues presently facing us in the West as well as a profoundly hopeful vision for the future. It is clear, sober-minded, courageous, and wonderfully biblical. Thank you @JonathanWellum for these encouraging words.

Had the privilege to speak for “Embassy Connections” on June 5th in Ottawa. The audience was business people, MPs, Senators and Ambassadors. I addressed the issue of the collapse of the West and the need to build back better based on Christian truth. youtu.be/Lki6JrxBan8
