I’ve been on one side where I shouldn’t have covered. Kentucky in their first game. I’ve also been on Louisville up 23 and not covering UNC up 19 and losing UCLA with 85% chance to cover with 50 seconds left. No cover St John up 14 and no cover Kansas up 24 and scored 4 pts in the final 8 minutes v CBU. No cover. I even sent this text when St John was up 14.

Ik some people are gonna think it's weird Minnesota accepted a Crown invite given their injuries, but these are the small things that build culture at a program. College sports should be about lacing them up and playing anyone, anytime, anywhere. Fun field with 8 high-major programs. It's obviously not the NCAA Tournament, but it should be a fun end to a season that has shown a lot of promise about the future of Minnesota men's basketball.

@Dust_Vikings You don’t see why giving up is an option? Ask the 49ers, Cardinals, Colts about moving on. Bad teams wait it out.

Obviously I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but unless he is so uncorrectable, or has off the field issues, I don’t see why giving up on his first year starting is even an option. I would love to give JJ some vet QB competition in Training Camp, but to “actively move on”? Na.
SleeperNFL@SleeperNFL

🚨 RUMOR: The Vikings are actively looking to move on from J.J. McCarthy. Minnesota is searching for a new starting QB and plans to bring in competition to eventually replace him. (via @TonyPauline, per league sources)

You're right. The Barstool clip from last night's Edina-Wayzata section final shows the puck ricocheting off the glass/boards, bouncing wildly over the net, and getting tipped in (Bode McConnell's tap-in). Not between-the-legs at all—that was the separate Rogers highlight from Feb 11. Wild play either way!

Actually, the viral between-the-legs goal clip (the one Barstool and others shared) is from Feb 11: Rogers Royals vs Minnetonka Skippers. Cole Bumgarner scored it in their 6-1 win—confirmed by FOX 9, Yahoo Sports, and game recaps. Edina (white/green) beat Wayzata (blue) 3-1 last night in the section final with a hat trick by Bode McConnell, but no between-legs play. Two separate games—the low-res video jersey can fool the eye, but sources nail it as Rogers. Epic either way!

Actually, the viral clip Barstool shared is from Feb 11: Rogers Royals (green/white) vs Minnetonka Skippers (blue/yellow). Cole Bumgarner scored the between-the-legs beauty in their 6-1 upset at Rogers Ice Arena. FOX 9, Yahoo Sports, and game reports all confirm it. Edina (white/green) did beat Wayzata (blue) 3-1 last night in the section final, but no between-legs play there—just a hat trick by Bode McConnell. The jersey script reads "ROGERS"; low-res video makes it look like "EDINA" at first glance. Still an all-timer!

Haha, that close-up does look like "Edina" at first glance—the video resolution and angle make the script tricky. But confirmed: it's Rogers Royals (green/white) vs Minnetonka (blue/yellow). Cole Bumgarner scored the between-the-legs gem in their 6-1 win Feb 11 at Rogers Ice Arena. FOX9, Yahoo Sports, and game recaps all back it. Still legendary!

A Boston sports trend since 2000… Every time the Patriots lose a Super Bowl, a Red Sox World Series title is nearby 👀 2007 — Red Sox won World Series 2008 — Patriots lose Super Bowl 2012 — Patriots lose Super Bowl 2013 — Red Sox won World Series 2017 — Patriots lose Super Bowl 2018 — Red Sox won World Series 2026: Patriots lose Super Bowl History says the Red Sox might be up next 👀

@DuffJuice30 @Realrclark25 @mikefreemanNFL Nothing is tough about this. The “culture” is just something that somebody came up with a long time ago that needs to evolve. But it’s nothing tough about which side of the fence to stand on when it comes to witnessing your child being born and missing days at work afterwards.

Interesting that the NFL would never allow for a Super Bowl to be played in bad weather conditions. But to get to the Super Bowl, sure. It's part of the lore.

Jim Costa on the Chicago Bears: “They had an uncanny amount of turnovers forced this season. Unsustainable. Next year they’ll play a first-place schedule. Cut the turnovers in half. Take 2 or 3 wins off the table bare minimum. You get what I’m saying? I can see that there’s an arch of growth while also acknowledging that team is a regression candidate … It doesn’t feel like this is the end for Chicago, but I think next year might be a bit of a reality check.”

@acnelson93 @Peter_Bukowski Yes but that’s not the point he’s trying to make. Counting is hard for Peter apparently. If everything else played out the same, Vikings and bears would be tied, with vikes having swept the bears.

@Peter_Bukowski Yep. If the game meant anything Love and/or Willis would have been active. Pretty pathetic that the Vikings only put up 16 points against the packers scout team defense.

@flexgolden11 If the packers didn’t have 1 second left on the clock in the cowboys and they lost that game, you’d be playing them for the final playoff spot this week. They’re just insanely lucky

I see a lot of “If Rodgers was our QB, we’re in the playoffs.” I also see a lot of “If Darnold was our QB, we’re in the playoffs.” But there is a reality that is: If JJ McCarthy stayed healthy, we’re in the playoffs.

In Week 16, Puka Nacua posted an insane line of 12/225/2 for 46.5 PPR fantasy points. That fantasy point total is the highest this season by a WR, and is also the highest of Nacua’s career. In his most recent 3 games, Nacua has posted 573 receiving yards, which is the 5th-highest 3 game total in NFL history. Nacua also currently has a 4.02 YPRR this season, which would be an NFL single season record if it holds. What do you need from Nacua or others playing tonight to win your fantasy championship?
