Alright boys, find you a woman that will bet her life on you. Make damn sure she wins. And she is the kind of woman that sends you this when you make it. "I met my husband when all he had to offer was potential. I bet my whole life on him and won"

NEWS: Elon Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro is accusing a San Francisco federal jury of “mocking” Elon by including “$4.20” in a different ink color as part of its recommended damages in a class-action lawsuit. “The jury’s emphasis on the $4.20 number, which had no significance to its damages determination, but appears to be a mocking reference to a number previously associated with Mr. Musk, shows that the verdict was a mockery of justice: a commentary not on whether Mr. Musk committed securities fraud (he did not) but on the jury’s views about Mr. Musk himself. Spiro wrote. “No reasonable and experienced person could have any faith in the fairness of this proceeding or its resulting verdict,” he concluded.

@esaagar I obviously don't know, but I wonder if the lack of clearly stated objectives is on purpose. Could he stop at any point and say "this is what I wanted"

The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. ... What then Are we Jews any better off?No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” ... For if, because of one man's (Adam) trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ... There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,[c] he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Paul's letter to the Romans. Cliff notes

Let's forget Captain Save a Ho. The word "virgin" feels female-coded. Biblically, however, sexual purity before marriage is good and expected for both men and women. Women have more sexual options; men usually have to earn access to sex. For a man, being a virgin can mean either "I had no options" or "I have strong self-discipline". That ambiguity is the real issue. I think we need a word for men that have practiced sexual discipline specifically. My wife and I were both virgins when we got married. I am not ashamed of that, it wasn't a lack of options it was a deliberate choice. But saying I was a virgin still feels like I need to explain that fact.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of the function of consultants. I was a peon, I was forced to work with consultants. I never understood why anyone hired them, they bring absolutely zero value. No understanding of the specific business, all their recommendations are painfully obvious or wrong (because of the lack of understanding of the business). They would be 100% of business if anyone ever saw this, I thought. I never understood why they kept getting hired. I respect the leadership of my business. They aren't dumb. So why? Someone on X explained that when a CEO hires a consultant, they are not buying expertise, they are buying cover. The leader needs someone to blame if the thing they were going to do anyway goes wrong. This is the function of a consultant. I am still a peon, but I understand this now.

@unusual_whales This completely misunderstands why people hire consultants. They dont know what to do and no one gets fired for hiring McKinsey. You do what claude tells you and it sucks—bye bye job.

Yeah I live in an overpriced shoe box but I took the train to the beach for a morning walk, went to the MOMA, had incredible food for dinner, and paid $30 for a comedy show to see some of the biggest headliners in comedy. I’m tired of pretending of living in NYC isn’t amazing.

@Cernovich I've been eyeing one of these. It's a little on the pricey side, $13k, but having it fold down so all the bikes and kayaks can be trailered is really nice. My other option I'm looking at is the High School FFA builds trailers for people. I'm having them quote me for a replica

Yes and cheaper than flying. Even if you rent a sprinter. Then you can stay at a hotel. Shower. Do your thing. Much more flexibility and more interest for the kids than staying in one spot.

@Cernovich @jaylaurin We hit this loop over Christmas. Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Durango, Santa Fe. Less time in the car than it takes to fly one way to Asia as well 😂

1. That's a huge claim that the US is not translating our own sig Intel, how does he know this? 2. Why would Israel "trick us into bombing the school" and not just do it themselves? Even if they "mistranslated" we could always find out later. Much simpler to do it yourself. 3. How does bombing a single school help anything? How does this move them closer to their goal?

@Oilfield_Rando That makes total sense. When we hunt we know that we will eat the animal, we might even use the skin and bones for something. We honor the death and make the most use of it. You and your family will live because of it. Road kill is pure destruction and waste. Nobody will eat.
