Brilliant Eurovision. Bulgaria a great winner. A classically brilliant Eurovision song joyously performed with a fantastic beat. . A great second place for Israel for a really good song courageously performed under unfair pressure . Loved the French & Finnish entries which deserved greater support. Pity that Ireland absent. As for RTE- stop the self sabotage to appease the haters. End the cancel culture. Time you developed a backbone. Time you truly respected diversity & properly fulfilled your role as a public service broadcaster. And don’t subject us to more BS about vote manipulation because Israeli briefly led the voting despite your daily targeted demonising throughout the past week & ultimately came second. Understand that for the 35 national broadcasters whose entries competed your absence didn’t matter. As for events in the Middle Easy your boycott was just irrelevant, temporary, distant, background noise.

Hi @PresidentIRL, below is an article I wrote about BelongTo and my first hand experience after spending almost two years there as a vulnerable and confused teenager. If you value LGB young people, you simply will not endorse this organisation.

A media outlet that uses "people who menstruate" tips its hand as an activist outlet. When they next label concerned Irish people as extremist or far-right for their immigration concerns, they should be presented with this image to remind them that they are discredited.

This is genuinely concerning. Many gays and lesbians have raised serious questions about safeguarding, ideology and the direction of youth groups like this for years. Instead of scrutiny, Ireland’s President gives institutional blessing. Young people deserve better.

This is the new Wellbeing Curriculum for primary school children. It is being rolled out between now and 2030. On page 8 they claim they are providing "accurate...information" about sexuality, yet on page 24 they tell children that sexual orientation is "attraction to someone of a different GENDER, the same GENDER or more than one GENDER". This is gender ideology, not education. There is nothing accurate about lying to children. @Education_Ire you ought to be ashamed of yourselves!

We don’t all have the same political opinions, Caoimhe. Assuming we’re all the same, that’s a little homophobic isn’t it? 🤔 For the record, I don’t want to “restrict women’s abortion rights”. I am undecided on abortion as I can see both sides of it. But the 3-day wait should not be seen as a pro-life or pro-choice thing. It’s about ensuring women make a considered choice that’s right for them. Over 10,000 women didn’t go back for an abortion after the three day wait, since the introduction of abortion in Ireland in 2019. It is clearly needed. Did you want 10,000 women to be aborting pregnancies they DID want?
