@SW_Help my wife left her phone on the 1702 arrival at Axminster last night. Location shows it at Salisbury Station, is there a way she can collect it? Ideally from Waterloo or Axminster if possible

@richove @bodleianlibs And here's the Radcliffe Camera roof from the Weston Library earlier today. Really useful visit, thanks to your team Richard.

Today is Alice in Wonderland Day, marking the day that Lewis Carroll first told the story to Alice Liddell. This early edition was published in 1868 & is held in our Special Collections.

I’m thrilled that @UniofExeter has been ranked No. 1 British university for our work on climate change. Overall we’re 3rd highest UK institution for impact, 18th in the world. It’s a joy to work with brilliant colleagues on the vital issues of our time.

@Tate_StIves Are you open today? Your Facebook post says you are and this post says you're not. Confused ...
English

@bibliojenni I'd say the same as @Dr_Sarah_P. There's no huge difference between ideas and details. The important thing is they're said. People spot different things and have different approaches, you'll see things others won't, never any need to feel silly.
English

@bibliojenni People want to be able to change their work. Can you look at how you all come up with ideas and in what areas, if you know each others strengths you can use them much more. e.g. I once had someone who was great at seeing how changes would affect people when others wouldn't
English

@bibliojenni Not sure about specific techniques but that's exactly what your team is there for, you can't & shouldn't have all the ideas yourself. It's a sign of your success that they are coming up with ideas and sharing with you. Would be much worse if they weren't.
English

@bibliojenni @greens_books Did I see you say it's being recorded. I've got to go and sit outside a theatre for a couple of hours (deleting emails vs watching the Crucible, email backlog wins). If the theatre wifi holds up I'll swap emails for bindings, if not then the recording if there is one

Speaking of which, only a few hours to sign up to hear Arthur from @greens_books, Cathedral archivist Elizabeth Semper O'Keefe & me talk about some lovely books tonight. I know there are some other exciting events tonight, but if you want to stay in we'd love to have you.😊

Excellent start to the holidays with @squeezyjohn and @jackieoates Christmas gig at @HalswayManor. Staying the night really made it a proper break, there can be lovely views but the frozen maypole in the grey will have to do

I'm supporting @ExploreWellcome Debunking replies needed:
1. Artefacts will be redeployed, not hidden/destroyed.
2. Museum not closing, just 1 exhibit.
3. 4 exhibits free to view now: In Plain Sight, Healing Pavilion, Being Human & Objects in Stereo
4. Also, digital collections!

What’s the point of museums? Truthfully, we’re asking ourselves the same question. 🧵
