Very proud of this one - just fitting it all onto a 6 layer PCB while keeping it looking pretty was a huge challenge. Not to mention all of the other challenges getting a product like this to launch! Well done to everyone involved, this is a huge step for Raspberry Pi.

My heat pump got a new software without bugs - shame it requires a new PCB - and thank you @RichMWPHS for quick supply

@JamesAdams314 If I was going to use one of these as a I/O co-processor on a HAT (real time I/O handling), what would your choice of Comms be between a Pi and the RPxxxx? I believe the Build HAT uses plain serial?

Loving the new Heat Pump Monitor features, especially the hot water / heating breakdown @Damon_BPHR In the last 90 days it shows my @MixergyLtd cylinder has been in the Top 5 with a hot water only COP of 3.4. Heating only also being pretty good at COP 4.1 too. And I know those above me in the table run their hot water slightly cooler than me. Plus, it's been a bit colder here. 😉 The heating / DHW split figures allow me to see that DHW has been 25% of heat output over the past 90 days too. I bet that it higher than most too. Chuffing family of 4 having lots of showers!! 😂 A couple of useful hot water related blog posts on @energystatsuk energy-stats.uk/mixergy-heat-p… energy-stats.uk/hot-water-cyli…

Delighted to see Lady Killers with @Lucy_Worsley in the top 10 @BBCSounds podcasts for 2023. A big milestone for women's history, demonstrating its appeal & relevance. More good things to come in 2024 (there's a clue in the slideshow below...)

Batteries are often described as resource-intensive. With a 95% proven recycling rate and a 10yr life, over 50% of battery minerals mined today will still be in use in *130 years*. Add 5% performance improvement per cycle, and they will be delivering services *forever*. Boom! 1/2

@JamesAdams314 Thanks for the clarification. My question was more about the feasibility to access the RP1 functions from both the PCIe and GPIO at the same time without conflicts. Lets say for example two i2c devices

@rtomasal Not sure if I understand the question, but the x1 interface on the 16W FFC is separate to the x4 that talks to the RP1 so you can use both at the same time.

@JamesAdams314 So when using the 4x configuration, is it possible to access to all the functions provided by the RP1? If so, would be feasible to use both the PCIe and GPIO at the same time? For example DPI from GPIO and I2C and/or I2S via bridge from PCIe?

@JamesAdams314 "HAT+ on the Raspberry Pi 5 silkscreen, sort of gave the game away?" I assumed it was to distinguish it from the old 28-pin header (though also thought doing that around a decade after it was last relevant was kind of weird)

@kevsmac Yes I liked the Electron keyboard too, but it was quite noisy. They packed most of the logic into a single ULA chip, which can be a source of problems, it got really hot too! Unfortunately the hobbled memory architecture meant a lot of Beeb programs didn't run properly.

@JamesAdams314 Love the keyboard on the Electron. I seem to remember Acorn did some clever value engineering on the number of chips on the motherboard compared with the BBC Micro
