We were the first in Canada to call for the decriminalization of homosexuality, and the first federal party to support equal marriage rights. Today, we honour the activists and community members who continue that work every single day. Everyone deserves to live safely, openly, and fully as themselves.

Three Surrey men found guilty of first-degree murder in brutal double home invasion that killed elderly Abbotsford couple Abhijeet Singh, Gurkaran Singh and Khushveer Toor have all been convicted in the 2022 killings of 77-year-old Arnold De Jong and 76-year-old Joanne De Jong. The couple was found dead in their Abbotsford home after the three men who had previously done cleaning work there carried out the invasion. Arnold died from asphyxiation with his head wrapped in duct tape while Joanne was bludgeoned and had her throat slashed 💔🕊️
