Politicians have to earn people’s votes. Decrying this idea means maybe politics isn’t for you. They aren’t celebrities. It’s an extremely privileged position to think that because someone is part of a political party, they automatically will protect marginalized people.
Darrell Issa Unemployment Project@Alejandro27Ale

"They have to earn my vote." What you're really saying is that you will not vote to protect minorities, the LGBTQ community, or women unless you get *your* candidate. If that is your mentality, you're entitled to it; just like we're entitled to tell you to go fuck yourself.

@reset_by_peer The question is, is he significantly better than JD Vance. What’s your answer?

There is nothing remotely interesting, chic, or revolutionary about a politics too self obsessed to do the bare minimum in preventing harmful policies from happening to people.

Are you fucking kidding me You’re telling me *I* a marginalized person should vote blue no matter what when the democrats refused to end the genocide in Palestine, refused to defund ICE for as long as I lived on this earth, and continue to refuse to do MORE than the absolute bare minimum??? Hasan told his chat constantly to vote for kamala and although I respected that I fucking refused to vote for blue once again. The “blue” DARED to demonize immigrants while funding isreal throughout their presidential campaign and it would inevitably lead us to where we are today. As a person part of a marginalized group, im fucking happy that Hasan finally said he’d vote for a 3rd party in the next presidential election I am tired of NOTHING from YOU. You dems are the ones who doesn’t care AT ALL for us. Fuck off.
usurp tha chef@usurpthachef

When asked if he’d vote for Gavin Newsom or JD Vance for president, Hasan says he’d vote 3rd party. This proves Hasan doesn’t care about ANY of the marginalized groups he pretends to support. All he cares about is taking money from them so he can buy more outfits for stream.

@briebriejoy No, it's the left who is demanding everyone "bend the knee." They don't put forth viable candidates, and when their candidates don't win primaries, they help elect the most evil republicans imaginable (making the situation in Gaza exponentially worse).

@keithedwards Do you think that if Mamdani was asked this question he would answer, “I’d vote 3rd party”?

I think it’s actually really relevant one of the most popular politicians in the Democratic Party never endorsed Biden or Harris. Perhaps we can learn something from that.
