Final outline of the new draft rules should be revealed soon. They’re being voted on May 28. So we shall see how it affects future picks.
By my count, Nets have 22 picks between 2029 and 2033 including nine firsts, all either their own or unprotected from Knicks or Nuggets

Brooklyn is right up there with Utah. Not a good look especially when the front office is banking on the market as an edge over other teams.

They don’t? They own their own firsts outright in 2028, 2030, 2031, 2032 and 2033. In two of those drafts, 2031 and 2032, they own others’ unprotected firsts and in a third, 2028, they own a first protected 1-8. They also have first round swaps with NYK and PNX in 2028.

Sources: The Chicago Bulls will hire Acie Law IV as VP of Player Personnel. Law was Director of Player Personnel for the Brooklyn Nets. He’s been Director of Amateur Scouting for the OKC Thunder and won a championship with them in 2025. Prior, he was a Sacramento Kings scout.

Touching on this again — I feel strongly enough about Keaton Wagler that I would consider offering a first round pick for Brooklyn to swap picks with Los Angeles in order to secure Wagler at 5 if need be.

Planting my flag — Keaton Wagler is my guy for Brooklyn at 6, if he’s there. I prioritize positional size, IQ/feel, shooting, and versatility at both ends and he fits that criteria best among the guards projected to go post-top 4. Long enough, crafty enough, smart enough, and skilled enough to create + score despite some athletic limitations. His versatility on both ends is easiest to build with moving forward as he can play with anyone.
