I was born in an area which used to belong to Norway..That said it's more the more modern centre left socially progressive similarities I was alluding to.

@tonytownend @MrJohnNicolson @Baggladee I'm happy sharing sovereignty with countries which align far more socio-culturally-economically with Scotl than an Anglo Saxon historically Euro sceptic/hostile culture which consistently looks down on our closest neighbours. Scotl has always had a closer affinity with Europe!

In the final round of voting between Alex Salmond and Jack McConnell to decide who became First Minister, Annabel Goldie and the Tories abstained. As did the Liberal Democrats. Salmond won only with SNP and Green votes.
