If one really looked at the surveillance footage closely, one would notice the offender was approached by the Secret Service K-9, trained to sniff out explosives and gun residue, which hit on the offender. The K-9 and its handler engaged him in a brief conversation but did not press the encounter or challenge him further, then pulled the K-9 back and disengaged. One can then see the offender sprint back into the room past the disabled metal detectors, firing his shotgun at a Secret Service agent, who returned fire but missed 3 or 4 times. One can also see the security officers holding up the wall next to the door, which was falling down, while trying to get out of the room as quickly as possible. Looking at this clusterfuck, with 34 years of law enforcement background, the entire Secret Service Presidential Detail needs a complete overhaul before the President gets hurt.

I talked to lawyers this morning, people who are experts in this, who've said that everything that we have in Illinois now is constitutional, even under the new ruling. I'm sure there will be people who try to attack it. But the reality is that if you read through the Supreme Court decision, I'm told that it validates the maps that are already in place. And of course, we'll be looking at a new remap in Illinois in 2031.
