In the UK, Millie Taplin was attending her first nightclub on her 18th birthday when she was handed a drink by a stranger. The stranger handed her a vodka lemonade “Try this”
Millie took a sip.
Seconds later, her face went numb, her fingers curled into claws and her entire body stiffened like she was possessed.
She stayed fully conscious, trapped inside herself, writhing in agony and screaming in her head that she couldn’t move her body.
Rushed to hospital, doctors said she was likely dosed with two unknown drugs: one to paralyse her, one to knock her out. Tests couldn’t identify the substance.
Her mother later released footage as a warning: never accept a drink from stranger.
@UziCryptoo I do think there is a selfishness to not having kids because they would rather focus on themselves instead of investing in the future. I am 35 with two kids and want two more because I enjoy the challenges so raising the next gen
Friend of mine is 35 years old, married and doesn’t want kids.
His household income is roughly $300k/yearly and his house is nearly paid off.
They invest a good portion of their income for retirement, take multiple yearly vacations and live a nice life.
I think people like this are going to regret not having kids in their future.
One day when he’s old all he will have to look back on is the random stuff he bought and wasted money on.
Instead of putting that money towards having kids and building a family he’s choosing consumerism.
This just seems so wasteful and boring to me.
@ClownWorld anyone buying these things is a fool.. you can get a maseratti for that price or a really nice benz/audi.. even a couple year old porche wtf?
$NKE is trading at 15-year lows.
And people are still selling.
Oversold.
Strongest brand in the world.
At these levels, Nike looks less like a falling knife
and more like a safe haven ahead of a market correction.
@ThomasSmale probably means they failed and got out because they know reached their limits ... no one told them to take the money at the high valuation. Or they took the money with a liq pref and multiple.
@JSmith8286@MrFamilyOffice you could lump together two or three other people with similar worth and try to make it work but the access will not be unlocked until at least $100 million
OPENAI LEAKED CAP TABLE 🚨🚨
> Sam Altman Owns 0%!?
> SoftBank investment in OpenAI: ~$64.6B (11.75%)
> SoftBank is *already* up $50 BILLION
> A lot of oddities with the nonprofit and “phantom equity”
What in the world is going on…
Fun Fact: If you had invested $10,000 in the Allbirds $BIRD IPO on November 3, 2021, your investment would be worth ~$87 today
This represents a catastrophic total loss of roughly 99.1%
@FinPhilosopher it probably all washes out to the same, paid them 75-80 cents on the dollar for a US equivalent hire. Doesn't have to provide them with health insurance etc. etc.
I have no idea how a man can be single nowadays unless hes flat broke.
Women are so ridiculously desperate they literally just beg for men with money all day long.
NONE of them work.
You cant avoid pussy even if you try.
@BradDunkley the problem with that fixed asset figure is that it takes time ... there's too short-termism going on. It's a bet on who wins in the next 10 years not the next quarter ...
🇨🇦💸To Canadians who are now looking at $2/litre (and rising). Before you blame it on Trump, here's a reminder.
Canada has the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world. It's our Liberal Prime Minister who won't allow us to use them. Plus the Prime Minister before him had a decade to prepare for this, but also wouldn’t us to prepare nor prosper
11 years of planned decline! This was NOT by chance!
