“Let’s spend £4.5 trillion on net zero over the next 25 years. Let’s increase taxes to pay for net zero. Let’s ban new oil and gas licences in the North Sea but spaff away £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway. Let’s buy coking coal shipments worth £7.2million from Japan but ban UK coal mining. Let’s plaster thousands of acres of farmland with solar panels but spend £50million on sun dimming experiments. Let’s give huge renewable energy construction contracts to China. Let’s give Drax an estimated £1.8billlion in taxpayer funded subsidies on top of the £11billion it has already received despite Drax burning an amount of wood equivalent to 300 million trees. Let’s give £1billion this year alone to wind power companies not to generate power from their wind turbines. And let’s spend £30billion of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines but put pensioners, farmers and the disabled into financial peril by claiming there’s a £22bn black hole.”

There’s been a lot of talk about how Labour ministers aren’t qualified and have little experience relevant to the position in cabinet they hold So let’s look at one such example Bridget Phillipson She was born on 19 December 1983 in Gateshead 1/5 dailymail.co.uk/debate/article…

Ed Miliband is a crank who spaffed away £30bn of public money on carbon capture machines, bans new North Sea oil & gas licences and destroys prime farmland with massive solar panel projects. He’s putting our food, energy and economic security at risk.

Almost everything this PM says now requires a community note. The electricity price cap is not coming down because the government has managed to produce electricity more cheaply. It’s still the most expensive in the world — and forecast to become even more expensive. The cap is reduced because the government has taken £117-worth of largely green subsidies from fuel your bills and put them on to general taxation. You’re still paying for them — just in a different way. And as your taxes go up to meet these green levies the cap is still £73 higher than when Labour came to power. So your energy bills are not coming down — though Labour promised they would — and the overall tax burden is at a record high. There PM. Sorted it for you.
UK Prime Minister@10DowningStreet

Today the energy price cap has dropped by £117. We said we’d bring energy bills down - we meant it.

'I'm in serious trouble if it comes in. It's my entire life.' GB News reporter Will Godley is live in Chipping Norton with trail hunter Amy Aldworth, who says a potential ban on trail hunting is 'her life' and describes the 'devastation' it would cause as 'heartbreaking.'

@DavidPRushmer @TELUSsupport I am the agronomist, so that isn't an issue Problem with @omniauk is that it looks expensive ... Omnia offers three service levels:  the free Omnia Access tier, Omnia Field Manager at £3.15/hectare/year, and Omnia Business Manager at £6/hectare/year

With the forced migration of Gatekeeper to Telus Crop Management what else is available? On the @TELUSsupport webinar they never mention cost & TBH the cheeky monkeys should migrate you for free considering cost, but only self migration is free!

Hi, ⁦@SteveReedMP⁩. Hope this finds you well. So far, on this second wheat we’ve only applied a peptide chain (natural) fungicide so far. Would you recommend SDHI, triazole or strobulorin ear wash? Thanks in advance.

Simply stunning. Today, the Farming Minister was asked by the EFRA Select Committee why he closed the SFI scheme at a moment’s notice without giving the promised 6 weeks notice. Instead, he passed the buck onto his official, who was clear in her response it was the Minister’s own decision. Clearly, all is not well within DEFRA - and our farmers are right to be absolutely outraged. Politics aside, today’s meeting shows the pure incompetence at the heart of DEFRA. If you know the SFI scheme is filling up and you have that data in front of you, why not at the very least give farmers the 6 weeks notice they were promised?

The @Conservatives just forced a vote on Labour’s decision to cut BPS farm payments by 76%. Labour MPs voted for the cuts. This is on top of their vindictive Family Farm Tax, National Insurance hikes, empowering the state to seize land, other rural taxes and stopping SFI without warning. Labour are breaking British farming.
