@ryangrim Kind of @ryangrim. More precisely it's when consumers permanently alter their consumption habits, adopt alternative substitutes, or invest in long-term efficiency measures to avoid the elevated costs. Think like solar, electric cars, more fuel efficient cars.

For those not familiar, the phrase “demand destruction” means you no longer have any money with which the buy things, therefore “demand” declines. Demands for heads to roll, however, will be strong.

The number of obvious lies in this from Rubio suggests he’s feeling actual pressure. He claims here Cuba wants oil for free and the U.S. isn’t blocking it. Not true. Cuba buys oil. Mexico and Russia can use this clip to justify selling oil to Cuba.

Per Illinois election law, candidates must use an Illinois notary. If not, candidate will not appear on ballot. The objection was filed Friday the 12th. Today, Biden's attorney pushed to dismiss the objection, but the Illinois Board of Election followed the law and set a date for oral argument. Oral arguments for the "Notary Case" are scheduled for Jan 29th, with no summary judgment issued today. @SullyCNBC I am 66 and have never borrowed money to buy a car. You make a better financial decision when the money to pay for it has to come out of your hard earned savings in one lump sum.

I think my next car will be a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser. I’ll pay cash, sand blast any rust and throw in $2k on new stereo, Bluetooth, backup camera and then drive it for the next 8 years. Then sell it for $5k less than I paid even with another 100k miles on it.
