Don’t miss this amazing opera @ENO. Wonderful singing, acting and playing. Operatic storytelling at its best. Jenůfa review – Alden’s harrowing staging remains a formidable piece of theatre | Classical music | The Guardian theguardian.com/music/2024/mar…

I cannot begin to imagine the feelings at ENO today… most incredible, wonderful company, unthinkable to have a British Opera scene without it. That the members were served redundancy notices MID-PERFORMANCE last night is cruel, wicked, thoughtless beyond belief. Thoughts with all

After a riotous 'Iolanthe' at @E_N_O, and the mesmerising 'Peter Grimes' a couple of weeks back, I'm left wondering why this company isn't better cherished, supported and funded. I got a great seat, saw a fun show and got cheap tickets as I'm still under 35. Do go!

@MBJFarnsworth @E_N_O Thank you Marcus. We have a public to entertain and Iolanthe is a jolly show and wonderful therapy when we are under such stress. We continue to perform to our absolute best with smiles on our faces. If you keep smiling you feel better inside.

Huge respect to my amazing colleagues in the chorus and orchestra of @E_N_O who just produced another stonking #ENOIolanthe straight off the back of #ENOPeterGrimes , and after this news. It is an honour to share the stage with them. #LoveENO
Musicians' Union@WeAreTheMU

Members at English National Opera have learned that the company plans to axe 19 posts & employ the remaining musicians on part time contracts The union plans to reject the proposals & fight to keep our members at @E_N_O in full time jobs, on full time pay bit.ly/401jKHi

Oh @tfl I looked forward to the #Elizabethline being up and running at speed across London but the disappointment is that it’s just like any train/tube line in London, constantly letting me down. Such a shame having spent so much money on it. It’s so unreliable. 😡

@LNER I have a seat. It’s all the other people I was worried about. Very young children sitting on the floor so people can’t move and elderly people having to stand until others gave up their seats. If there had been an accident it would have been catastrophic.

@Janesop Hi Jane, my apologies, this is due to an earlier service being cancelled. If you have a seat reservation and are unable to sit in them, you can claim compensation here bit.ly/3qz5d83 ^Sam

@LNER As you will see from the CCTV I’m told you have in the 10.30 train to Edinburgh, it has been dangerously overcrowded. You have clearly sold too many tickets for this train with standing room only in every available space. Appalling when the cost of tickets is extortionate.
