@hirotonfa Both interpretations would fit in pretty well with the quasi schoolhouse rock aesthetic imo.

They're supposed to be a question mark and an exclamation point, but I guess the top one does kind of look like a worm.

Ask them to create a cooking challenge, and they will likely never do it. But ask them to recreate anything that sexualizes themselves, and it will quickly go viral. These are the same people who claim that men only see them as sex objects. Their only agency is their sexuality and they hate it when men tell them that.

@memeticsisyphus @Lain_Coulbert Or it’s the EPA fining a theater for having garbage bags of broken tile and dust from remodeling in an unventilated stairwell that children pass through to go to acting classes. Or demo companies tearing down buildings in residential areas with no dust control.

@AsheSchow Because “uterus haver” etc. is seen as a respectful term by those who use it. People don’t act respectful to those that they demonize.

This is Rosemary. Her carefully sequenced collection of over ~2,500 Kodachrome slides span a period from about 1970-1987. These are only about a third of 100 different slide presentations she would share at schools, churches, libraries, and nursing homes. 🧵

I’ve spent the last month or so going through these 30 carousels worth of Kodachrome slides I got for free on Facebook Marketplace. Ended up digitizing around 350 of them. Really excited to share these!

@GramanhFolcwald I once got asked why I was working so hard, and when I told them “if I can make things better then I should”, they acted like I was an idiot. I’m not just going to let things decay around me because I can.

@planefag It’s not just a cute red head but a world weary red head facing problems and overcoming challenges with her fiery locks. It’s about bonding with her other female red headed comrades, but most importantly her companion who is an everyman who loves her and her red hair.

This is true. (Remember, "fetish" doesn't refer to just sexual things.) All writing is innately indulgent; the writer's exploring something beloved to them, something they're obsessed with. They key to writing is to temper it, test it, interrogate it. Unrestrained indulgence is onanistic and when written for an audience, exhibitionist, and readers react by closing the book like a trenchcoat. But scald it in the crucible of strife and quench it in the muck of life and you've transmitted it via the shared medium between human souls; the triumph and sorrow and starry heavens and turgid mud of our shared human experience. You lead people to it the way you were led; lifting the trenchcoat just enough so they can see the allure of the shapely ankle. And the more you challenge your own dream; the more you assail it, the more convincing it becomes when it refuses to yield - and thus the more solid it becomes for others. Plato held artists to be insane; for they took their fantasies from their minds where they existed in primordial perfection and rendered them in reality where they could never, by necessity, be as flawless. But the artist's compelled to do this because there's a difference between a daydream and a fetish; a resounding chord of truth that draws them back time and again and compels them to show others; to not be alone and lonely in their love. And since truth is innately beautiful and powerful it best proves itself by how readily that sunbeam can punch through the overcast.

Trying to worldbuild without inserting your niche esoteric fetishes is like trying to bake bread without yeast Technically it’s possible but it feels incomplete somehow, it doesn’t feel unhinged enough
